Joe Lieberman for Justice?
Hell, I doubt it. But Ron Brownstein ran a column a couple weeks back that I just recently read talking of the history of presidents appointing nominees from the other party as a "grand gesture" - actually, it was quite common.

At the end he suggested a couple centrist-Clinton appointees and Joe Lieberman.

Could we get behind this? We get rid of Joe in the Senate AND get a justice that's more moderate than any of the wingnuts he could replace O'Conner with.

1. Is the Governor of Connecticut a Dem
If he's a republican then no way. I'm not in favor of giving the pukes any more senate seats.

3. Heard Him On...
Sean Hannity's radio program today and I was disgusted. He was a complete suck-ass with Sean...I couldn't continue to listen.

4. If I were *
I'd appoint Cheney--or maybe myself. What the hell? Either one of them would get all the republican votes and half of the Democrats. Then, as president*, I'd issue an executive order allowing the vp* or p*, as the case may be, to hold onto their elective* office and still sit on the scotus. I'd also issue an executive order saying that since the scotus appointment is for life, it's only fair that their job in the executive branch also be for life.

That's what I'd do if I were *. But then, I'm not a freaking lunatic.

This is, of course, meant in jest. But don't you just know they'd do it if they thought they'd get away with it....
