Poll question: Does a defeat or problem mean there is something wrong with the people who
are losing or are struggling?

I mean think about it. Was something "wrong" with England and the USA when Hitler wreaked havoc on the world?

What, if anything, was wrong with the Iraqi's that Hussein had become their dictator?

What, if anything, is wrong with the folks who didn't evacuate NO?

The other side becomes what is so "right" about those in power, with wealth, with success?

Is the universe a place where bad people do bad stuff and with bad results, and good people do good stuff with good results?

Is this hand wringing search for what is wrong with Democrats always useful? Or is it at times demoralizing and non-productive.

Please vote and explain your reasoning in comments.

1. I think that people have to be allowed to vent
their frustrations. I get a little worn down after I have read the 87th post of the day oozing angst over the Democratic lack of leadership or about how they are wimps.

But I guess it indicates a widely perceived problem and those problems need to be aired out. As a general perception it bothers me less than when people are jumping on Dems for every specific little thing that they don't like.

3. No disagreement that people need to vent.
I'm more asking what people think about how a problem arises and is there always clearly someone (on our side) at fault.

I do get tired of the criticisms, but usually I just leave and/or don't read those threads. That's how I deal with it.

2. I voted for sometimes there is a flaw, sometimes there isn't
I think it is natural to look for the flaw within ourselves or our party.

Aside from the other impacts, it does at least create the idea that we are in control and if we can come up with the right change in ourselves, we can change everything now.

But my perspective is more along the lines that there is evil in the world, and the inability to always triumph in each battle or skirmish is not surprising.

Most of us have trouble even believing that kind of evil is out there and can be as amoral and power hungry and ruthless as it is.

We can fight and defeat it hopefully, once the danger is recognized.
