HAMILTON - Three conservationists excluded from a recent U.S. Forest Service press conference on a controversial Bitterroot National Forest fuels-reduction project are considering their legal options.

At a press conference in Hamilton on Tuesday, the men announced the decision to retain attorneys and their request for a congressional investigation into what they call "a series of anti-democratic actions" on the Bitterroot National Forest.

Stewart Brandborg, Jim Miller and Larry Campbell were either barred or removed Sept. 22 from a press conference announcing the release of the Middle East Fork Environmental Impact Statement, a proposed fuels-reduction project in a drainage east of Sula.

1. Good on em! Some judges FINALLY waking up to the fact that democracy
and our Constitution are under serious and systematic attack by corporations and their puppets in power. Maybe there will be another smack-down on this issue!

It is OUR nation, OUR National Parks, Forests and Resources! Despite what the Chickenhawk In Chief and his Big Dick think, it is NOT theirs to do with what their corporate paymasters want!

OURS! And some of us intend there will be places left for future generations... a worthy goal, aptly dealt with by a republican who understood conservation.

A forest is a living thing and must be husbanded well. That takes people who know what the fuck they are doing, not bozos in DC and boardrooms who move paper around and sell stock.
