Opposing Wars based on lies is not necessarily a "far left" thing is it?
Granted, many on the "far left" do oppose wars based on lies- but don't most moral people oppose lying and needless wars, in general?

60% of Americans don't agree with Bush's course- they are not all "far left"- are they?

And as a follow up question/discussion point-

Going along with Bush on his course in a war based on lies & fraud- is that really "centrist" or is it "far right?"

1. Apparently, according to bush it's worse than being "far left"
If you don't support this war thing, you might as well be planning an attack on NYC yourself, it's as simple as that.

11. Sure- but is it "nuts" to oppose this because it is based on lies & fraud?
I would say it is a rational- even moderate position.

3. It's Common Sense.

I don't care what political persuasion a person is, but any wars based on lies and deceit is unconscionable and outright wrong. Period.

Sending our young men and women to end innocent lives, and to die for lies shouldn't be politicized, but scrutinized and defeated, be you right-wing to ultra liberal.

If you're human and have an iota of common sense, you should be against it. Period.

5. Well, I'm not too sure on where Repukes stand on Vietnam
I mean, one minute, they're blaming JFK & Johnson & McNamara, the next they're yelling about Clinton avoiding it, the next minute they're praising W for avoiding it, the next they're mocking POWs and disabled veterans from it . . .

9. Lots of folks got suckered into supporting the far right on this war.
Edited on Thu Oct-06-05 02:10 PM by Dr Fate
I'm glad most Americans have come to their senses and come back to the center on this- demonstrated by all-time low Bush approval rating on this war and in general.

The "victims" are the 2000 dead US Troops and their families, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and the integrity of US foriegn policy.

Supporting wars based on lies & fraud is not moderate or centrist, it is far-right.

12. They don't care if he LIED
Even if you could 100% prove it, that would not change things!

They feel sometimes a president(especially if RW republican) has to lie for the overall good of America. If he didn't lie the stupid liberals wouldn't let him do what we republicans know is morally right!

Thank god they came back to the moral center, as opposed to agreeing with/believing the far right.
