A NYC Subway terrorist threat?

Ahh that took his speech right OFF the top story position.

1. Nothing
I doubt Bush's handlers have any real hope of increasing support for Liquid George or his family vanity war. I suspect they just hope to stop the bleeding and keep their charge from tumbling into poll numbers that would make his continued so-called leadership completely untenable.

3. I think the speech and fake Terra Lert were designed to be
complementary.

Somehow, his famous Terra Lert bounces seem to have gone flat.

Reminds me of the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

And of course, one day, they will hit us again, but who will listen to this government's warnings, even if they manage to figure out when one will come?

4. And now they're saying the "terra" alert was meant for next week.
I guess they're putting it on the back burner until the Plame indictments come out.

Man! Those "terrists" sure are considerate little buggers, aren't they?

5. Homeland Security official: "the source has 'doubtful' credibility"
"...A homeland security official tells NBC News that though the source has "doubtful" credibility, the heightened security in NY is necessary out of an abundance of caution. The source has apparently given some accurate information in the past, and some inaccurate."

6. Do most Americans think it went over like a lead balloon?
If anyone has links to anything that indicates so, I'd appreciate it.
I know his poll numbers are freefalling, but I am hoping that the dummies who voted for him aren't buying his "things are great because I say so" press conferences.

7. Wasn't it the same speech that he always makes?
If people hear the same thing enough times they eventually start tuning it out.

I don't know that it was his usual speech, since I didn't hear it, but that was the impression I had listening to NPR.
