Louis Freeh and John O'Neill
This message pertains to the man that says Bill Clinton went easy on the Saudis and one John O'Neill, not the lying Swift Boat traitor, but John O'Neill the September 11 hero who, weeks before he was killed working as head of security at the World Trade Center, was the chief man on the tail of Osama bin Laden in the FBI's counter terrorism unit.

Now, watch the video clip on this page that says, "Disagreeing with Freeh"
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/knew/view/

This PBS Frontline episode sets the record straight. If you haven't seen this you'll want to watch the whole thing.

Peace~!

1. "The Man Who Knew"
was fabulous. What a story! Hollywood could not have come up with this tale, nor the heartbreakingly ironic twist that marks its ending. America's foremost expert on Osam Bin Laden and terrorism is run out of the FBI, and takes a job in August 2001 ... as Director of Security of the World Trade Center. He dies when the towers fall, doing his job. An American hero ... undone by an American bureaucratic dweeb.

2. Notice they never talk about him on September 11
Never once have I heard a word about this man in the MSM when they are pulling the September 11 heartstrings... you would think this story would rise above all others, but honestly I've never heard a mention.

14. Freeh fires O'Neill and O'Neill had choice words about it in NewYorker

"Freeh was initially optimistic that the Saudis would coöperate, but O'Neill became increasingly frustrated, and eventually a rift seems to have developed between the two men. "John started telling Louis things Louis didn't want to hear," Clarke said. "John told me that, after one of the many trips he and Freeh took to the Mideast to get better coöperation from the Saudis, they boarded the Gulfstream to come home and Freeh says, 'Wasn't that a great trip? I think they're really going to help us.' And John says, 'You've got to be kidding. They didn't give us anything. They were just shining sunshine up your ass.' For the next twelve hours, Freeh didn't say another word to him."

4. O'Neill finally has a contender for the Biggest Douchebag Ever
Edited on Mon Oct-10-05 03:08 AM by AtomicKitten
Freeh will find out soon enough that when the wingnuts are done using him, they'll toss him aside like a prom date from a speeding car landing with her dress over her head.

5. more...
Valerie James (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/knew/interviews/james.html)cited "the fiasco with Barbara Bodine". Having never heard of Bodine, I Googled her and found this:

Until he resigned in August of 2001, John O'Neill was the director of counterterrorism for the FBI's New York office, not far from the WTC. O'Neill investigated the bombings of the World Trade Centre in 1993, a US base in Saudi Arabia in 1996, the US embassies in Nairobi and Dar-Es-Salaam in 1998, and the USS Cole last year.

In the course of these investigations, he became one of the world's top experts on Osama Bin Laden and Al Quada, determined to hunt Bin Laden and his followers down and bring them to justice. Those who worked with him said he "lived, breathed and ate terrorism." A scrappy, stubborn Irishman with a quick temper, a fondness for the ladies, and a reputation for being brutally blunt on some occasions, and pushy on others, O'Neill was often frustrated by the button-down boundaries of the modern FBI. But he was one of the best sleuths the agency had — as anyone who worked with him would be quick to acknowledge. U.S. attorney Mary Jo White says this of O'Neill: "John went at it comprehensively, yielding things from people in London or people in Yemen we never otherwise would have gotten." Another admirer, former FBI director Louis Freeh remembers O'Neill as " the paramount, most knowledgeable agent we had in the FBI, probably in the government, with respect to counterintelligence matters."

After years of investigating OBL and Al Quada, O'Neill came to the conclusion that "All the answers, everything needed to dismantle Osama bin Laden's organization can be found in Saudi Arabia." That conviction went with him to his grave. Unfortunately for O'Neill and 3,000 other men and women, at every turn after January 2001, the Bush administration blocked the efforts of the "most knowledgeable agent it had" to investigate Saudi ties to Bin Laden.

O'Neill saw through Bush from the start and by the summer of 2001 declared that the main obstacles to investigating Islamic terrorism were U.S. oil corporate interests and the role Saudi Arabia played in furthering those interests. Bush not only thwarted an FBI investigation of the bin Laden family, he kept the specific nature of his family's business ties to the Bin Ladens as secret as Cheney's energy task force list. A few disturbing facts are known, however. For example, Bin Ladens were investors in the Carlyle Group, the secretive energy-and-arms corporation cofounded by George Bush, Sr.. Carlyle was earlier reputed to have been a major stakeholder in Central Asian oil interests, though they have, not surprisingly, dropped from the foreground in the past year. Bin Laden money was also sunk into George W. Bush's first oil companies. A Bin Laden was involved in BioPort, the company that G.W. Bush granted a federal contract for producing anthrax vaccine, even though the company had failed three FDA inspections. It is hard to imagine, given this cozy history, that O'Neill had much use for the Bush clan. It must have truly enraged him when he learned (as he inevitably must have, given his position inside the intelligence grapevine) that Osama bin Laden had flown to Dubai for 10 days for treatment at the American hospital, where he was visited by local CIA agent Larry Mitchell on July 12. But let's backtrack to the year before 9/11, back to the fall of 2000.

7. Clinton screwed up allowing Poppy Bush's loyalists like Bodine to maintain
Edited on Mon Oct-10-05 08:30 AM by blm
any role in the Mideast.

In my view it was the BIGGEST mistake he could have nade against our country - he let Poppy Bush and ALL OF HIS AGENDA maintain their pace by not allowing all the BCCI revelations to be shared with the public.

And all because he trusted Greenspan who convinced him to keep BCCI papers closed.

9-11 would never have happened, and no Bush would ever have been allowed NEAR the WH.

12. DLC at its finest....
Clinton made a lot of "mistakes" that furthered the agenda of the crowd that came in. And now he and Poppy are joined at the hip.

 If we're going to point fingers at people....like the republicans....we have to point them at some of our own, who have been complicit.

Clinton was the big dog of the DLC, and the DLC continues to do things that support republicans. That's just how it is, and it shouldn't be spun. It's an ongoing problem BECAUSE of the DLCers who continue to support the republicans.

:kick:

There was also a problem of the Rose Law Firm and BCCI. The DC rug is vast and whoever has the broom gets to use it.

9. Louis Freeh...
Quite possibly the most incompetent fuck to ever wear a badge. Even more than the Bush Administration itself, this is the guy responsible for our blindness on September 11. So caught up in office politics (and ass-kissing among conservatives) that he never saw the Al-Queda threat coming. Then he says he would have, if only he hadn't spent so much time investigating Clinton.

Nice job, Inspector Clouseau. You spent eight years investigating your boss in order to look good for Tom Delay and Newt Gingrich -- and managed to secure a grand total of (lets, see now) ZERO INDICTMENTS!! And in the meantime, your organization was in such chaos and disarray that you couldn't detect a major terrorist plot as it unfolded under your nose.

Shouldn't Bush be giving this Asshat a medal or something?

Just another incompetent and nasty one. It's outrageous that CBS considered for even one moment not allowing others to respond to his lies on the program.

13. Dr. Parker, worked along side of O'Neill is fearful of her life
http://www.newcriminologist.co.uk/news.asp?id=-1677497717

Haroon Aswat…FBI agent threatens former USDA federal agent, now staff reporter for The New Criminologist.
Published on 25 September 2005 | Author BERRY-DEE, Christopher.

...

Now an FBI agent in Seattle – name removed for security reasons, but can be published at the drop of a hat – has demanded that former USDA federal agent, Dr Janette Parker, stop talking to the British media about how the FBI obstructed their own top terrorism investigator, John O’Neill in his enquiries.

Dr Parker, who worked alongside O’Neill, although not in an official capacity’ is fearful of her life.

“Janet is a highly-professional and honest person. She is very brave,” says Christopher Berry-Dee, publisher of TNC. “But, now the cat is out of the bag, and we have ensured that she will be protected by circulating her information to leading British newspapers and the media.”

Dr Parker writes: “The American press can be silenced but not the British press. MI-5 and MI-6 and not happy about the intelligence failure on the American side of the Atlantic, especially withholding information about Haroon Aswat’s intention for additional bombings and his fund raising in Seattle area in March 2002 (after 911).”

...

Dr Parker, who is supported by many other FBI agents and John Loftus (see: http://www.newcriminologist.co.uk/news.asp?id=1124824797) adds: “You can fool some of the people some of the time, all the people some of the time but not all the people all of the time.”

By trying to discredit Dr Parker, she claims:

“The effort of the FBI to hide their own internal problems has now made it impossible for me to expose the corruption and fraudulent documents at the University of Washington Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. There were 40 doctors involved and 8 departments. Two doctors pled guilty to Medicaid billing fraud and obstruction of justice charges. The FBI had been conducting an investigation into the medical billing fraud but did not get indictments against them.”

In verified documents, sent to TNC and the British media, Dr Parker’s explosive investigative results cover far-ranging matters, from terrorist training camps, money laundering for the extreme Islamic terror campaigns, FBI cover-ups, prostitution and brutal homicide, threats to her own welfare, physical abuse and intimidation, to include possible phone taps and email interception.

...

Pinning down Aswat’s movements – as all of the movements of the London Bombers – prior to the bombings is crucial, claim New Scotland Yard.

“Dr Parker’s information IS crucial,” says TNC. “Her knowledge of Special Agent John Neill’s work in counter-terrorism, could make her a very valuable asset if the Met really mean what they say.”

The 911 disaster ( of course the U.S. emergency services hotline number) could have been prevented, as could have the London Bombings.

As a deeply embedded intelligence source recently told TNC:

“Bush and Blair are just puppets. Their strings are tugged by money, corruption, ego, by the Intel services. You don’t even want to know the truth.”

In a chilling observation, our source, who has been verified as having carried out executions on behalf of H.M. Government, and MI6, and a man who has served 25-years for terrorism offenses, added:

“The Northern Ireland Bank Robbery…the Dublin Art theft…the stealing of millions of pounds of UK Government Bonds – two in the name of Mark Thatcher – has all been covered up…MI6 would order me to commit murder, then the SAS would try and shoot me because I knew too much.”

“International terrorism is VERY BIG business,” our source confirmed. “The U.S. and UK trade in terrorism like it is some kind of off-the-shelf commodity. Forget the destruction of lives to normal people, women and children. I have been there and done it all. Your Dr Parker has done the right thing. Like me she is cladding herself with insurance – like a Kevlar jacket, and I wish her all the best.”
