1. The first amendment hasn't been shaved that closely yet.
I think they're just flexing their muscles. Perhaps another Karl Rove deflection.

2. " ... criminals' rights above the rights of American citizens."
Um, excuse me, but one does not lose citizenship upon conviction of a crime. Just sayin'...

3. Frightening how powerful these groups think they are. We must
have a dem senate and house so we can put the leg irons on these so-called Christians. I did not know about that group in Lexington; I am going to ream them any way I can.

11. I think that's why Pat Robertson was getting pissy
at Conservatives who were dissing Meirs, reminding them about who exactly is supporting her, and giving a list of Religious Right folk. The message seemed to be that Conservatives must line up behind the Religious Right or suffer the consequences come election day. How frightening. And I'M A CHRISTIAN!!

9. All this amounts to is more
fear mongering from the right wing. Notice they brought up the subway alert, even after its been shown to be a smoke screen for GW and his network of anti-american dictators. Get ready for more of these tactics in the near future as things deepen with all the WH legal troubles. Nixon tried the same thing when he was going through his last days. They get some right wing slug to put up distractions from their woes.

10. I've had it with the ACLU-bashing by these groups
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 09:42 PM by Pushed To The Left
An ACLU office just opened up a few minutes away from where I live, and I'm going to fill out the volunteer form I received in the mail and send it. I am already a monthly donor, but this crap from so-called "Christian" groups and Bill O'Reilly had made me want to help the ACLU more! And to think, I didn't even like the ACLU several years ago. Thank you, radical right, for showing me how valuable the ACLU really is!

12. Go to the ACLU Action Center and join up.
A small donation will do it for a year's membership.
Now is the time.
