CNN: Letter to al-Zarqawi a fake?
It definitely sounded like a fake -- and, if it is, this may be yet another scandal brewing:

Al Qaeda in Iraq said Thursday a letter purportedly from Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is a fake, according to a statement on several Islamist Web sites. The terrorist group denied the letter was from al Qaeda and claimed it was "another fabrication ... by the Black House," using its term for the White House. A spokesman for John Negroponte, U.S. director of national intelligence, said the letter was "verified by multiple sources over an extended period of time."

2. I don't doubt for a second it's a big, fat, FAKE
Look at the list of diversions that Olbermann showed last night.

And look at the phoney, STAGED talk with the troops this morning!!!!

Creating a letter that talks of low morale, lack of resources, dwindling leadership (yada, yada, yada) was written by this corrupt administration and released in a desperate attempt to make Americans think al-Zarqawi is in dire straights.

You see the guy the gave them the letter passed the lie detector test then after a couple days of drama and "political capital" he failed! Oh wait sorry that was the NYC scare or maybe I don't know it was the same guy!

7. I started thinking "fake" when it was translated to include the phrase
"winning the hearts and minds of the people"....Sounds familiar, doesn't it? And al-Qaeda doesn't strike me as a particularly tongue-in-cheek type organization......

8. Since Zarqawi himself is fake.
Wouldn't any letter to him also have to be?

Or does Bush have the real terraists (assuming there ARE any over there not working for either Blackwater or Mossad) believing in Hopalong as some sort of "Terra Santa Claus" and they write letters to him telling him what weapons they want for Mohammedmas (or whatever they celebrate)

9. Obviously multiple sources means Rove and Libby saw it
and concluded it was from OBL. Or maybe Dobson and Miller.
Or maybe Card and Tenet and Powell. Or the WHIG. Multiple sources to these folks = multiple fabrications = big ass joke

The crudest kind of a fake. That's what you get when the general level of education among people who make fakes is so low, they cannot even produce a reasonable tool of misinformation!
