Bill Kristol says on FauxNews Sunday that he expects
both Libby and Rove to be indicted, based on conversations he's had with friends of thiers outside government.

Let me be the first to say, BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH!

3. I hope he's not just toying with us.
I could see him doing that. I will break out the champaign when it actually happens, although I bet the freepers are wetting themselves right now, and that's worth celebrating in itself.

6. Do they have the will to toy with us?
I mean claim all these indictments coming then instead only a written warning to Rove and claim a psychological victory.

11. It keeps the story alive and sparkling, not in their interests
Plus if you watched the dynamic between Hume and Kristol on Miers, they are not all working as one team right now anyway, so I do not think it's a ploy.

7. Re: Freepers wetting themselves --
I went to a 'conversation with Ira Glass' last night and he got (a little) political. I live in a very, very red state. Even though a crowd drawn by Ira Glass on NPR should be at least purple -- and even though when Ira mentioned Jon Stewart on the "Daily Show" he got warm applause -- man did the room go cold when Ira said that he was not with the GOP, that ALL the people in DC were morans. The Freepers in the audience were *really* up-freaking-tight.

Then again I was uptight when Ira went off on a tangent about how the GOP deserves to win because the Dems don't have a plan. :grr: Ira believes the mainstream media bullshit written by the GOP and repeated umpteen times a day by the media parrots. The Dems have lots of plans: revise the Patriot Act so it does not destroy civil liberties; set timeline for bringing the troops home; provide medical, financial, housing, and employment services to people impacted by Katrina; provide health care to all children. The Dems plans don't get traction because the GOP is insane with power and corruption.

:kick:

4. I really hope it's for more than obstruction and perjury too.
though if just those, it would be ok. :)

8. Obstruction and perjury would be okay with me
Especially if they both face multiple charges. Actually, anything that produces a prolonged trial where the truth can be exposed to the whole country would make me happy.

I want to see Colin Powell testifying about what he saw on Air Force One.

13. Not sure if it meets the constitutional definition, but it sure meets the
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 02:28 AM by dave123williams
...dictionary definition:

1. Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.
2. A betrayal of trust or confidence.

Outing a secret agent specializing in the trafficing of Weapons of Mass destruction....betrays this country in the worst possible way, in that it's clearly of benefit to our enemies. It's a betrayal of the fundamental trust that is at the heart of service to the citizens of this country, and it should be pissing off the good people on the right as much as it does the good people here. Some things are above politics, and this is one of them.

In my book, Rove, Libby, and anybody else directly involved should be charged with Treason. Anybody who knew about what they were doing, and said nothing, should be in the same boat with the lot of them.

10. Heard that -- turned on FOX manually (it's a deleted channel on all my
controls and will stay that way :) specially for that discussion, and was not disappointed since Kristol made me cheer very loudly! BTW, watching Bennett, Miller's lawyer, on ABC right now, and they are going through Libby's letter. Great stuff too.
