I'm so ABB it hurts
There are some candidates that I think really stink, but they don't stink more than a future with the usurper boy will. There are some candidates that downright scare me, but not more than the unelected fraud does.

Also, I have kids -- I have to think of them. I want them to be able to vote and be confident their vote is (most likely) counted. I want them to experience America with two parties, similar as they are. I want them to have the same chance I did in making this country better.

I fear if we don't unite after the convention, all those wonderful things (imperfect though they may be) are in grave danger of being taken from them. I'm not asking anyone to join me in a pledge, or convince me to do otherwise. I just wanted to share that.

:)

1. Me too
I'm all about getting a Dem in the WH this time. And pushing for election reform so that next time it's anybody's win.

*Looking forward to the day when socialists, greens, labor, and many other parties join the Progressive Caucus in the house.*

2. Very important to keep the pressure on
You're right we really should work hard for election reform so that we can have a more accountable government.

Thanks for your response. Glad to hear it!

:)

3. I feel the same way.
I like Kucinich too, and I know he isn't going to get the nomination. I honestly don't give a shit who the nominee is, I think any of those guys will represent us just fine. And when we choose our nominee, I think Democrats will be behind him 100%.

5. We have to unite, that's all there is to it.
I think the record turn-outs we saw in IA and NH are testimony that this is an overwhelming sentiment among Democrats across America.

6. The barricades have only two sides...
and while you and I would probably argue about some issues until the heat death of the universe I believe we will do so from a position on the same side of the barricade.

12. I agree - this impacts the whole world
And they're watching us!

Did we learn our lesson from watching what happened in France? Or will we need to attend the 'school of experience'?

13. Jumping from the tenth story of a burning building might get one.........
more time to live, but it don't work for me. I will always try figure out something else. Don't panic, is what I would say, there is always a way out.

You cannot wish or hope to find someone to believe in, if you don't think you are worthy yourself. The fix is in just like when Clinton got stuck in there back in 92. Just remember ABB, we can deal with the clean up after all that is over with.

And either way we will have a lot more work do later so be brave.

P.S. the part I like to remember is, if they go against your hopes and it don't work out at first, it will usually work out for you better in the end. (I got a lot of ammo saved up, and I am not worried about it, doing what I think would be best, instead of "the" just what I think I would like).

Sacrifice has it's rewards also

15. The choices we given where limited and whittled down even more
Perot got the full tilt put on him, Jerry Brown was shut out of the convention and a few others were cannon fodder along the way. The DLC was in full control of that one. Today we know what the DLC is, but they brought lots of reinforcements with lots of money who mostly own the most of the outlets for mass media. Clinton had quite a few big backers early on when GW1 looked like a bust. That's what Kerry and Clark are now, the anti-reform candidates, being put in there by the establishment. The middle and some of the far left are taking their shot with Dean but the establishment is even afraid of that. Things are not really stacking that well for the establishment now. I will take a consolation prize of ABB, but I am not going to jump out of the window if it doesn't happen. I haven't read the post "See you in 2008" yet but can imagine what the post was about.

P.s. Perot and Jerry Brown were not that good anyway, so that's what I say, it will work out one way or another.

It really seems scary that Bush could win. I don't want to know what the conutry looks like in 2008 if he does.
