Latest defense: Plamegate is a covert CIA operation against W.
Joe DiGenova, noted trial lawyer and RW hack, made the charge on Imus this am. If there are indictments from this scandal, you can bet that this will be one of the Neo-con's major talking points. If there are trials , the infighting between the CIA and the RW will be brutal. The favorite tactic that Republicans have relied on since the ascendancy of Gingrich and the Bushes is the destruction of the public reputations of those that get in their way. With their grip on power threatened, they will be beastly in their attacks and will show no regard for the truth or the consequences of their acts. The outcome of Fitzgerald's Grand Jury will be only the first act in a morality play which will have tremendous impact on the course of American history. I only hope that the Democrats and the news media are able to summon the backbone necessary to let the nation know what is really happening and the high stakes involved.

1. The WH has not yet seen the beginning of the CIA's operations.
The CIA is not an organization to be screwing around with. This regime will rue the day they got into it with the Agency. It would appear that the CIA has been unusually restrained in their response to the many attacks from the White House, most notably the outing of one of their own resulting (most likely) in the deaths of numerous valuable "assets." Traitorgate is not a CIA operation, but may well result in launching one.

5. I agree
An agent with over fifteen years in the CIA is outed and others are killed because of the leak. This administration has miscalculated the results of their evil actions. The CIA will not stand idly by and do nothing.

23. those killed due to leak
It was stated on this website: www.rense.com that 70 agents under Valerie Plame were killed because of this leak. No other details given, but it does give a connection to the planted "reporter" Gannon, who some say is the kidnapped boy Johnny Gosch, who was sucked into the BCF sex ring. HHHHMMMM...

15. I hope the CIA knows that they are really fighting the PNACer and neocons.
W. was their puppet until his incompetence and hubris got in the way. He really thought he was in charge. I hope the CIA is not fooled and the contingent that is truly American wrests our country back from foreign dominance.

2. Any politician that openly goes to war with the CIA is a damned fool.
Edited on Wed Oct-19-05 10:10 AM by smoogatz
You think the Agency doesn't know all the down and dirty personal shit there is to know about W and his playmates in the WH? If DiGenova is at least partly correct and open conflict between the WH and the CIA is about to break out, we'll soon know the truth about everything from 9/11 to the Iraq war run-up to the stolen elections in 2000 and 2004, to the big, black strap-on that Condi keeps in her nightstand.

And W's expunged coke busts and DUI's, and Poppy's pedophilia, and JimmyJeff's visits to Karl, and Scotty's forays in Austin gay bars, and Poppy's Jennifer, and the Twins' trashiness, and the Bohemian Grove, and.......

3. I am sure that neocons will not concede an inch even with indictments
I think the perps will be smiling and denying just like Tom Delay. All of the neocon spokespeople will blanket the media to prop up Bush and Co and undermine and discredit the indictments. If there are limited indictments, they will probably spin things to make sure the public thinks Bush and Cheney were exonerated and blameless and their staffs were just overzealous.

I can understand why Democrats are laying low right now but if any indictments come out, all prominent Democrats will need to speak out loudly on TV to counteract the neocons damage control attempts.

4. if this is true, then you'd have to admit it's been a pretty good one
Look at the latest news: Dick Cheney who had been the CIA's number one adversary in the run up to the Iraq invasion is now rumored to be one of the parties that may be charged. The CIA's foes in this administration are running scared and the CIA's integrity has been reinforced - I mean really who would you believe now - the CIA or the White House?

Again if true this would be a very pretty success for an agency that a few months ago was going to be bypassed by homeland security and Rumsfled's Pentagon intelligence.

Because Cheney was trying to keep the CIA from discovering He and His Companies were supplying technology, hardware and materials to Terrorist Nations and were responsible for Pakistan, N Korea, Iran and Libya... since 1989.

after reading this PDF is there any wonder why Mohamed ElDaradei got he Nobel Peace Prize reciently..??

6. Bushco stirred up a hornet's nest and are now surprised to be stung.
Cheney and Rove have finally come up against a reality more potent than their own arrogance. :woohoo:

11. Those in the CIA may also be motivated by the oath they took.
I believe that there are those in the CIA that are upholding their sworn oath to defend the Constitution and not simply acting because they are "pissed off". It could be a combination of the two as well. The thought that some folks at the CIA are fighting a covert war with BushCo. solely because BushCo. is in their sandbox isn't comforting.

12. I agree. The "secret evidence" that convinced judges that
Miller should talk is going to be a blow to this regime's solar plexus. All those pundits who have dismissed the investigation as much ado about nothing are going to be humiliated when they are told of the immense damage done to our national security by these treacherous felons that the Supreme Court foisted upon us and the Corporate Media lied about to protect them.

17. You're welcome. Every time I begin to worry that this will just
evaporate and nothing will come of it, I remember what Judge Hogan said in upholding the contempt citation. Then I just contemplate headlines with my least favorite Republicans' names in the same sentence with the word "convicted". How sweet it will be.

16. The CIA is split
just like the rest of the country. There are the 'good' guys and the 'bad' guys and they are definitely at war with each other. Since this is America, I still believe the 'good' guys always wins. Let's hope so.

18. The CIA will prevail over the Neocon
Everything now rests on Fitzgerald's 22 indictments.....

I want *'s name on one of them.

I have absolutely no faith what so ever in the Media projecting the full picture. They have got better recently, but they'll shed their skin just as quickly as it grew......

19. Let's see here.......hmmmm......
Used the CIA as scapegoat for "faulty intel" on so-called WMDs.....check.
Kept the Agency from fully investigating Saudi money ties to the 911 hijackers......check.
Outed a covert operative in act of political revenge....check.
Made the job of recruiting human assets worldwide even more difficult for fear of them being compromised for political gain....check.

And that is just a few reasons for the Agency to be upset with the Regime. God help us for the ones we don't know.

the CIA will be on the case.

At least I hope. I love this "cloak and dagger" shit!

25. If the CIA is on Shrubco's "case," then they need to produce 11/2/04 tapes
of inside the "war room" at the WH, with computer and telephone records and conversations eminating from, in particular, Rove's office. I've felt all along that the scale of Election Fraud which developed that night, was centered in Kkkkarl's "room," and have to be traceable and "on tape" by already alienated CIA agents.

If THAT evidence is available, and produced b disgruntled "agents," we've got a slam-dunk of the entire Admin....and a "Hello Prez. Kerry." Then again, I tend to be optimistic...and would like to see a replay of Watergate days, when "tapes" easily sealed the Impeachment.
