So, Condi admits that the Congress did not sign on for the "broader"

scope of what this administration has turned Iraq invasion into. She said it today. Boxer was hot, laid out all the lies and deceit. Says Condi gives a nice speech but that is not the issue.
It was great. We are in Iraq not because of WMDs or even because of Saddam's brutality to Iraqi, or his alleged threat to the US. We are in Iraq because of this administration's desire to reconstruct the ME....long term and forever. Heard it with my own ears at today's hearings. i don't believe that Condi realizes what she said and we all know that the MSM will not hold her to it or make an issue of it. It's up to our folks in the Senate to hold their feet to the fire. Afterall, it's cover for them to make sure their constituent understand that they too were duped.

My better half told me about a kid she works with that just got back from Iraq. The kid's arm was busted up pretty bad - he's hoping he won't be called back but I suspect it's just wishful thinking on his part (we're hoping for the best). Anyway, during their conversation, he mentioned that the rotation schedule for the military is set thru 2009, so clearly the idiots in charge appear to be at least anticipating another 4 years of this nonsense. Maybe by then they'll have 2 Iraqi brigades trained ....

The nightmare can't end soon enough as far as I'm concerned. They all need to face a firing squad
