DU MEDIA WONKS...TWEETY HAS TURNED!
now...you have to understand I can't stand Matthews for whoreing against Clinton, for trashing Gore, for being in Bush's pants talking about his "codpiece" like he wanted to share it...and all the rest he's whored for these years and trashing Kerry and the Democrats which he STILL DOES.

But, watch him tonight for repeats with Carlson and Carlson and DeFrank from the Daily News Bomb that "Bush Knew" tonight. He says he will have a ll:00 p.m. (EDT) Blockbuster report.

We need to go with the Media Whores who are now "Jumping Bush's Floating Ship of Death and Deception." I guess even a Media Whore can have a "good heart" or at least want's to make sure their Nantucket Estate still can have funding.

26. Hey stop giving Bi-polar a dirty name.
Bi-polar disorder is an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Tweety is just greedy and is trying to play both sides of the fence, at his personal gain. Its all about the money and what he happens when the Bush money give away for the money grubbers end. By playing both sides he is hoping he won't get a hard hit as he would if he stuck with the Fox news hard liners.

4. I don't think Matthews was ever a real GOPper...
Matthews is essentially Mr. Conventioal Wisdom.

When Clinton was going down, he railed against Clinton.

When Bush was on his way up, he praised Bush.

Now that Bush is on his way down, he's railing against Bush.

He's neither progressive nor conservative. He just does whatever seems to be popular with the most people at the time, in order to achieve the highest ratings.

32. That's the way I see him
A pathetic pinwheel, totally dependent on outside infuence. The most dramatic and laughable examples are immediately post-debate, when Mathews briefly has to rely on his own impressions and instincts. He wobbles and hesitates, then a day later when the consensus is in, he piles on like he knew it all along.

20. I know...he presents himself as an "Elite Politico" a "Hard Baller," but I
see him as a "Corporate Whore." He will explain his "twist" that he's a Politico/Former Staffer 20 Years Ago." Sheesh...20 YEARS AGO?

I'm not the same person now that I was since the Chimp stole the FIRST ELECTION. So, WHAAAAA, WHAAAAA for Matthews.

I think he see's the "Liberal Blogs coming over the Hill and he wants to make sure that the "young folks" don't forget him. Because he, like many in the Mainstream Media think the INTERNET/BLOGS are populated by only the "20 Somethings."

I hate to tell Chris but there are so MANY OF US who are SO DECREPIT AND SENILE...that we can't navigate blogs, or have some Computer Ability!

Heh, Heh...Matthews ....you must be paying your "Tech Consultants" MEGA BUCKS..to take care of what clueless, senile folks can do on their own.

7. Set your video tape on "on."
Media Matters should have a comparison of Tweety when he gored Gore in 2000, and now when he's playing the "He lied to me too" act.

Tweety will have to perform an act of contrition for me to even consider forgiving him.

9. He's covering it now to distract from his own COMPLICITY in covering up
for BushInc - Tweety knew for TWO YEARS about Rove and chose to NOT TELL his audiences filled with voters.

Tweety chose instead to allow GOP lawmakers and operatives and the RW media machine to smear Joe Wilson all last year as a liar and a campaign hack working for Kerry and trying to attack an innocent WH for political gain.

Tweety thinks he can fool the public that he's not part of the coverup for BushInc these past 2 years, but most of us know exactly what he's up to now and WHY.

10. If I had a dime for every time I've seen that sentiment here....

I'd have a lot of money. Tweety doesn't "turn". He shifts with the wind. It takes a gale force wind to move him even close to the side of real honest journalism, but takes the slightest breeze to put him squarely back on his knees in front of the Boy Emperor.

Do NOT be fooled and do NOT give Tweety credibility by caring about a damn thing he says.

The best thing I can say about Tweety is that he's irrelevant.

24. Agree...and I've posted more "anti-Matthews" posts on this than I can
count. And, most of all I agree he "sticks his finger into the wind." And, always can be counted on for that. But his show lineup tonight did have some good stuff...and I have a "fur ball" to cough up saying that.

And...I hate to have our DU'ers who Don't do Cable and it's ripped out of their house suddenly call their distributor to "turn it back on" because "MATTHEWS HAS TURNED" but it was nice to see "Tweety" have to "choke down" the truth tonight. And, he has been in great whore mode except when one notices that he never has any "Liberal/Progressive/Populist Dems" on to add "balance to his show." He just puts Carlson, Shrum and Frank Rich as his spokespersons. Against the usual, 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 or 0 to 1 Dems that's been the norm since his "Codpiece, Big Dick Hero in Jeans managed to STEAL THE PRESIDENCY.

Still...I enjoyed tonight's show. It was a sort of "perverse delight" in watching them try to spin their way out of their TOTAL/COMPLETE Support for "Emperor Fake Codpiece," all these years.

He has NO CHOICE!

I don't know how old you are, but he once was an Aide in the Carter Administration and he was almost attached at the hip with the late Great Tip O'Neill, former Democratic Speaker of the House!!

Up until about 6 years ago, I thought he was still there! It would be nice if he has actually come back, but as that old saying goes.

Believe NOTHING of what you hear, and only HALF of what you SEE! Especially crucial when you think about THIS WH!!

I now refuse to even call them an Administration... they're simply "the corrupt ones" to me!

49. Even Tucker Carlson got in on the Bash Bush festivities!
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 03:10 AM by Wordie
He commented at length on his show this afternoon about how strange it was that someone in the Whitehouse put out the info about Bush getting mad at Rove about the leaks two years ago. He said it was a stupid political strategy (I couldn't believe my ears), because what Bush should have done was either fire Rove or other people responsible, if he believed them to be responsible. OR, if he didn't think they were responsible, then he should continue to support them.

Either Tucker or a guest commented that if Bush knew two years ago then it makes it clear that he lied to the American public when he said he would fire the persons responsible.

He said it was also dumb for Bush to be saying positive things about Fitzgerald, because politically, the strategy should be to discredit Fitzgerald.

LOL...it was priceless.
