Ed Rogers on Hardball: "I'll place money on Rove not being indicted"
"Gop Strategist," former Pappy Bush advisor.

When Tweety started to ask about "bringing back a former big gun" to fill Rove's shoes, he cackled like a fucking hen. "You're just engaging in idle speculation over something that may or may not happen."

What a beady-eyed, whiny little fuck this guy is...

7. Tweety stopped Tucker and asked him, dare I say, "hardball"
questions. I was surprised how he laid into the Administration for using the NYT.

5. He also said "Jim Baker would be an asset to any administration."
So, really, who needs him?

I did like that Bob Shrum mentioned that they "overfixed" the elections in Iraq.

6. Yeah... I had to hand it to Tweety for disagreeing...
I agree Tweety changes his opinion more than his fruit of the looms.. but today, he was definitely disagreeing with the wingnutz..

TODAY anyway..

11. At even money, he would be making a very smart bet
It's got to be less than 50/50 that Rove is indicted. First of all, we don't know for sure there will be ANY indictments. You have to figure that into the equation when assessing likelihood. It's like when someone wants to bet you that a specific quarterback will throw a TD pass to win the game and cover the spread. He's put out so many variables you have a huge advantage betting against him. The odds of the specific team winning the game, that QB throwing a TD pass and his team covering the spread are all somewhat independent. Influenced by that one play, yes, but perhaps out of reach even before the TD pass.

Look at it this way; let's say there is a 70% chance Fitgerald will issue indictments. At that point, let's say if indictments are issued, there is a 70% chance Rove is included. That sounds huge, but overall it equates to less than 50/50 Rove will be indicted.

I just think we're getting a bit carried away in assuming Rove is a goner.

12. He also went on and on about what a brilliant, honest guy Fitzgerald is
I can't wait to see him change his tune when Fitzgerald indicts one of his buddies. I'll bet Fitzgerald will morph into the anti-Christ at that point.

13. I probably got carried away in my earlier post
Not a very smart bet, just not as incompetent or masochistic as many here seem to believe.

It's not a bet I would make. I'd love to see that smug walrus Rove strung up and dangled atop the Washington Monument.
