Begala on CNN
He finally spoke out concerning whether Saddam was a real threat to the U.S. and that we are no safer with him in custody. Are those not Dean's words. I feel no safer. The word I got was that Osama and his bunch was the threat to the U.S. after 9-11. Now we are losing our soldiers daily due to Bush's actions. Logic seems to tell you that securing our borders, spending money on things like intelligence and controlling nuclear waste around the world, and negotiating with other countries to help defend against Al Queda would be the only way to go. Not going after Saddam, had him cornered for years.

1. Polls From Last Night
I saw one where they asked the question - do you feel safer or are we safer in the US - since/because Saddam was caught. I thought I saw some 70% say - catching Saddam did not make the US safer.

Maybe Begala feels a bit braver after seeing that poll.

2. And yet Dean stood alone when he said it.
FUCK the Democratic Party.

4. Sean, the Democratic Party opposition to Dean has NOTHING
to do with his stands and EVERYTHING to do with the threat he is to the party power and money-brokers. Anyone who tries to say that Dean's endorsements are in contradiction to that is either ignorant of behind-the-scenes power-broking or is deliberately trying to obscure it.

3. IN fact, Begala said
that chimpy repeating his lie about Hussein being a threat is the worst of it because of Kay's no WMD pronouncement. Begala said, "how is he a threat, then? Downloading songs from Napster? Making prank phone calls to the white house?" Begala should have added "taking steroids"...Begala was on fire today.

5. Begala makes my skin crawl
Where the hell were you and your DLC pals then Begala? You trash Dean on a regular basis, but then repeat his positions. I nearly threw the remote at the tv last night when he criticized Dean for not congratulating Kerry on his win. Neither did any of the other candidates, but Dean gets the attacks from that little whore.

12. Wrong
I watched a few of the speeches and know that Edwards and Clark *did* congratulate Kerry. (Though Edwards only congratulated Kerry and Dean, even though Clark beat him by a George Bush landslide.)

16. Sorry
I honestly didn't hear it if they did (although I kept channel surfing through all the news programs, so it was probably easy for me to miss). In any case, both Begala and Carville (who I actually like) were downplaying Dean's 2nd place showing and indicating that he should drop out soon if he continues in this direction, while saying nothing of their little pal Joe or Edwards.

13. Agree Eissa
Guess that's why I had to make the comment that "he" finally said something positive concerning the things Dean has been stating for ever and has been beat on the head for. My gawd, Dean has had it right ALL along. Begala and the rest were unbelievable to me. Where were they coming from. Guess you got it right, DLC. TY

17. Begala = obnoxious worm
Precisely the kind of DLC operative that limits the influence of progressives in the party.

8. Well, he's only doing what his candidate does.
Repeat Dean positions, if questioned say "WHAT Dean?"

Later.
