A Democrat waiting for Fitzgerald`s decision is like an innocent man on death row waiting for the results of a court-ordered DNA test that will prove his innocence.

Democrats should temper enthusiasm for indictments with a large dose of caution. The Bushies are tricksters. Dirty, vicious, ruthless, dangerous tricksters who will stop at nothing when it comes to savage attacks against anyone who dares express an opposing position or challenge their authority.

I hope we can be real careful and sort out rumor from fact. It`s my guess that the White House will kick their smear campaigns up a few notches with outright lies and attempts to put out the flames with diversions.

As an aside, I`m not very computer-savvy (old dog, new tricks) and frequently depend on others here at DU to research the facts. Let`s continue to be careful and not fall into any traps.

The meme is out and it's sticking. I predicted to my wife that the lot wouldn't last past 2007 (in 2004) and believe me they will not.

Always remember that the American (some say) majority believed these guys on the way up, and now they'll love nothing more than watching them on the way down. The people are finally waking up to the lies. The reason for the awakening was never Iraq, the DST, the WMD or the outing of a CIA agent, it was always and will always be oil.

Gas prices rose and the american people took a closer look and didn't like what they saw or what had become. The world went from quiet bemusement to shock then horror. The ugly american became a pitiful caricature.

It can't last, the people will not stand for it.
