'Not a big fan of the First Amendment', Says GOP Poster Girl

Republican talking head, author and gadfly, Ann Coulter spoke to an audience of supporters in Gainseville, Florida last night at a fundraiser for the Alachua County Republican Party, who paid $30,000 to have Coulter speak.

According to an article in today's Independent Florida Alligator, Coulter -- who makes her living, in no small part by enjoying her Free Speech rights under the First Amendment -- pleased the rabid attendees by denegrating the U.S. Constitution...

She also criticized the media for being liberal and Democrats for whining about their rights under the First Amendment. "They're always accusing us of repressing their speech," she said. "I say let's do it. Let's repress them." She later added, "Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the First Amendment." Her statements received applause, and many attendees said they enjoyed her speech, but some added that they think she's somewhat extreme.

3. Millions have died defending her first amendment rights
and "republicans applauded." That's the state of today's conservative movement. I'm a veteran Ann, I spent 24 years defending your right to be an idiot. No thanks is needed.

12. You got that right...I bet the current or prior military percentage of
that audience was less than 1%.

Even so, I applaud and celebrate her right to reveal herself as a fascist pig.

and expects people to think she is the patriot? Maybe she should move to Saudi Arabia if she hates America so much.

10. Ann O'Rexic strikes again
She should just marry Ted Nugent and produce a brood of shrill, crazy children. They can all run through the woods and tear small animals apart with their bare hands and eat them raw, yapping to one another in their strange, twisted language of grunts and yelps.

Oh, was that a little vicious?

Gawd, I can't stand that woman. I despise anyone who disparages the 1st Amendment...

I don't buy into the transgendered argument on Ann...she's probably just another genetic gender mix-up like Jamie Lee Curtis.

I think she and Terrible Ted would make a GREAT love-match. <eg>

or the older film about Joe McCarthy.

She seems to be attempting to incite people, or whatever, to repress others' 1st amendment rights. Maybe even crossing state lines to incite this violation!

Back in the days of Nixon there were laws that prohibited crossing state lines to incite to riot. Hmm.

Someone in Tucson threw a pie at her when she was there, and talk about whining. She was the whiniest thing in the universe when she felt she had been done wrong. In her column she went on and on and on and on.

:puke:

There is something really wrong with her. Of course!

27. Doesn't matter. She's the defacto poster girl for the Republican party...
and this could potentially be exploited, I think, by the Dems to mercilessly attack the Repukes as the the party of hypocrites and haters of traditional american values. It's a dirty game. Time to jump in the mud.

17. She is the daughter of Ilse Koch, the Bitch of Buchenwald
Coulter would have been at ease as a concentration camp guard.

Ilse Koch

During World War 2 the infamous Ilse Koch was known as the Bitch of Buchenwald for her bestial cruelty and sadistic behavior. She was the wife of Karl Koch, the Kommandant of Buchenwald, and struck fear into the inmates daily. She was especially fond of riding her horse through the camp, whipping any prisoner who attracted her attention.

Her hobby was collecting lampshades, book covers, and gloves made from the skins of specially murdered concentration camp inmates, and shrunken human skulls.

I thought the skull had to be removed in order to shrink the rest of the head.

28. We know her deal- but what about the cretins who applauded?
The moronic rightwing thinks that anything couched in negative terms about liberals is good.

Yea, let's show those left wing liberals that we mean business and none of their permissive soft attitudes, let's abandon free speech, the constitution, and the laws! YEA!!!! Let's support right wing anarchy!! Oh yippeee! Here's another check for the anorexic ho'!! :sarcasm:

Proof: Some have drunk of the cool aide too deeply, they are forever lost to reason.

29. Also, note the same tired RW/KKKoulter/Oliely/Limpbag trick
they set up a straw man argument and stupidly put words in the mouths of their opponent.

"They're always accusing us of repressing their speech," she said

Who the fr*ck is "they" and when did "they" say this.

I thought it should have read: "They are always accusing me of being a stupid, lying, RW ho', who mis- states facts in speech and in writing, and they always think I should just shut my puke hole and crawl back under the rock I came out from under. Well, I say let's give it to them...I am crawling back under my rock!"

Yay!:bounce:

31. Coulter desperately tries to make headlines...
..by saying outrageous things while her party goes down the proverbial tubes. Nice try, Ann, but we aren;t biting. Indictments soon, and don't worry your beatiful mind, Ann, we will continue to put pressure on Congress to not pass that 50 billion spending cut. Keep saying those outrageous things in a vacuum. The left no longer cares about you enough to be outraged any more.
