Conservatives never cease to make me sick

These people are soooooo pathetic. Before I say why (We all know the reasons are endless), I want to emphasize that meirs should never be allowed to be a member of SCOTUS. Major reason, "Because she thinks scrubbie is the smartest man she's ever met."
Having said that...this article just shows how pathetic they are:

As president of the State Bar of Texas, Harriet Miers wrote that "our legal community must reflect our population as a whole," and under her leadership the organization embraced racial and gender set-asides and set numerical targets to achieve that goal.

Now remember...before I go on...this is to encourage private companies to hire more minorities and women. This is not a government mandate.

"Those are quotas," said Roger Clegg, the general counsel for the Center for Equal Opportunity, a conservative group opposed to affirmative action. The fact that Miers "did not create the quota systems but only perpetuated and endorsed it doesn't make it less disturbing," he said.

roger clegg is disturbing. Is it me, or are people like Clegg really just racists masquerading as human beings?

John Yoo, a conservative law professor at University of California at Berkeley ------ and a complete loser ... said
"When you start setting numbers like that, you can call it a goal or anything else, but it smells like a quota," he said. "The message is pretty clear -- you are encouraging hiring based on race."

So basically, to sum this up...If you encourage people to hire minorities you are bad. If you say, 5-10% of your new attorneys should be minorities and/or women you are bad. Because...I guess they don't think there are that many qualified women and minorities to fill these positions.
