Appeal for help to all my DU Brothers and Sisters
We've got nobody to run against Representative Wally Herger next year.

We're in the second district in Northern California.

How do you go about finding someone to run? Put an ad in the paper?

Are there any DU'ers in the second district who want to take the challenge?

2. Start figuring out where the money will come from....
Then, go to your California Nursing Association....call the main office and let them help you find a NURSE to run!

5. That's not a bad idea
The largest medical center in Northern California is a few blocks from here.

Thanks for the idea. :hi:

3. I think you need to send this message
to Dr. Dean and the DNC. They have the resources to recruit a Dem opponent.

4. Probably not...

Candidates have to raise a certain amount of money before the DNC or DCCC will pay attention, if nobody does they just won't contest the district, the DNC/DCCC usually only fund about 25 house races per election, next year they're supposed to up it to 50, but obviously it will only be races they feel they have a fighting chance...
