Freep-holes: "Bush should pardon anyone charged in outing traitor Plame"
NYT: Cover-Up Issue Is Seen as Focus in Leak Inquiry

And the NYT knows this how? The only way this could possibly be true is if Fitzgerald or one of his employees is LEAKING. Isn't leaking information about grand jury proceedings a crime?

Yes and yes. Of course, I don't expect that we'll see people prosecuted for those. Frankly, Bush should pardon anyone charged in relation to outing that traitor Plame, especially if they've been ensnared by a runaway Federal Prosecutor.

Man, I agree, I am not gonna get worked up over this, I just don't see the crime, I am just going to wait and see.......

"But Mr. Fitzgerald may have doubts about his account because the journalists who have been publicly identified as having talked to Mr. Libby have said that they did not provide the name" Russert said "wife" not Plame or wilson. He never denied he said wife. All stories need to be parsed for this distiction.

2. Yeah, pretty bizarre over there.
I wonder if they think that BushI should be excoriated for signing a bill into law that makes outing a crime in the first place.

Quite funny actually. Accusing anyone who thinks perjury is a crime of being a troll. LOL

4. Can someone 'splain why Freeptards think Plame is the traitor??
I feel sheepish that I don't know their side of the argument but everytime I go to freeptard republic I feel so icky x( afterwards.

I love the fact that they call Fitzgerald a "runaway" prosecutor. Obviously they don't remember Ken Lay's multi-million dollar attempt to fry Clinton, even going as far to dig back to things that happened 20 freaking years previous.

:eyes:
Thanks!

7. That, AND the "Isn't leaking GJ info a crim" statement!
Starr's office had so many leaks, they should called FEMA to help repair them!

You know, it really does always depend on whose ox is being gored!

13. I like that one...
I don't recall of hand anyone saying that the leaks from Stars office were criminal etc. at that time.

8. Plame is a "traitor" because she had the GALL to be skeptical
of Bushco's Niger/yellowcake claim. She betrayed the dear leader by failing to kiss his ass. Hang her!!!

11. DOH! I should have realized it was something stupid like that!
I forget that in the Neocon America you're considered a traitor if you question authority.

God bless their simple minds. I hope we can save them from themselves.
They truly don't understand what the Constitution and Bill of Rights are about, do they?

:eyes:

Thanks for the info!

10. If history is any guide
Bush will let Rove, Libby et al do their eighteen months in some minimum security tennis club, and assume they'll keep their mouths shut out of loyalty to the Dear Leader. He wants as few official questions as possible about his role in the Plame/Forgery/Iraqgate affair. I don't think he'll pardon anyone, except maybe Cheney--because of his health problems, don't you know.

14. DU'ers
I advise DU'ers to walk up 4 or 5 steps, and then drop yourself on your head, because this seems to be the only to come around to the theory that Wilson outed Plame, or that Plame is a traitor.
