Anyone know history of dem nominees given iowa and NH?
How often does the winner of Iowa and NH go on to become the nominee? What are our historical probabilities for Kerry, and then given the margins of turnout in these primaries as well the republican primary in NH, what is the probable history in the runoff?

Gore got both and lost in the GE

Another candidate won both (Muskie) but lost in the Primary

2. Humphrey did not win ONE primary in 1968!
Yet he wound up as nominee. Of course, had Bobby lived that would have changed everything.

But this shows the power of the Dem establishment: I remember 1968, it seems like no one wanted Humphrey, but it was HIS TURN...

Does that sound like 2004???
