Freeper worries that that it will be about the lies that took us to war
To: Steven W.

Does anyone else find it hard to believe that David Gergen ever worked for a Republican adminstration? His statement that these indictments will"reopen Iraq wounds" and make people wonder if the war was advanced by "criminal means" is false propaganda and Dem spin.
Fitz is NOT making this a case on whether or not Joe Wilson was right or wrong about his trip to Niger. IN FACT, he actually LIED but Fitz is not discussing that in this case at all! Many have been upset because Wilson's lies have been getting little cover, BUT, the major media in this country have said that Joe Wilson's lies or misstatements about Niger and Iraq are irrelevant because the case has to with his wife's "outing.
NOW suddenly, the media spin about an indictment is this: people will question WHY we went to war. These indictments show that the decision to go to war was criminal...when it does no such thing! The media has just finished saying Wilson's lies and Iraq are irrelevant!!!

1. And what, exactly, do they say are Wilson's "lies?"
Do they ever actually name one, or is it just innuendo?

2. I'm wondering, too, now.
Saw a few threads posted but I failed to read them thinking, "pfffft".

Just reading that OP almost made me feel sorry for the Freeper that wrote it.

9. those guys are full of bull!!
Wilson did say that he went to Africa but the CIA sent him after Cheney asked them to look into the story!! They always seem to believe the right wing spin and conveniently overlook the facts!

But Cheney did lie when he said on MTP in '03 that he didn't know Joe Wilson and had never met him. As we now know, Cheney and Libby spoke about Wilson and his June of '03 so he obviously knew who he was. (You know, it's kind of like the time he told Edwards he had never met him before and the very next day we saw pictures of the 2 of them side by side at some breakfast.)

Republicans are so deluded! I had one tell me one time that Rove wasn't a target. I told him that not being a target means nothing because when an attorney says that, he means you're not a target now but that could change at any time (as we've all seen) based on evidence.

15. The only "lie" that I have ever heard and it has been easily debunked
Is that Wilson said Cheney sent him on the mission. I have never heard anything else that was supposed to be a LIE. Maybe they get more news over there than we do here..

4. Reopen Iraqi wounds..when were those wounds healed?
one needs to heal before they can be reopened maybe the Bush Crime Family was referring to the Sept.11 2001 attacks.

6. Let's see freeper dude
Why would it bring into question the Iraq war? Probably because the CIA operative that was outed was the wife of a diplomat who stated that there were no yellowcakes being purchased by Iraq because they had no WMD's or nuclear program yet this went against what the admin cabal wanted. What an idiot!

14. Limbaugh, Faux News, etc., are probably to blame...
He's simply sizing up the disinformation he's been spoon-fed against what the media is reporting & is baffled that the media isn't spouting the same crap.
