Hannity leading off with the RNC Talking Points
He is saying that it is VERY DISTURBING if someone gets indicted for forgetting a meeting or a phone conversation 2 1/2 years ago (like Rove was not purposefully talking to Cooper over Wilson, and just plum forgot!) He also thinks it is very disturbing if someone is indicted for lying about a situation that ends up NOT BEING A CRIME. He is saying that it's okay to lie in front of a grand jury if the situation you were lying about is not proven to be a crime. Family values, you see??

Then dumbass said something that perplexed me: He keeps asking how anyone would ever show up and testify in a grand jury if a prosecutor can use a simple mix-up of times or dates against them as perjury. I must be on very confused, because I thought that when you were called (subpoenaed) in front of a grand jury, it was not a tea party: you have no choice but to show up.

Is this right? Because I am going to call dumbass tomorrow if I am right and ask him where he got his law degree. (Although he never finished college, he thinks he is a lawyer.)

1. Good one -- lying to a grand jury is okay if it's not about a crime
Hannity's floor is falling out from under him.

2. he's trying to act like those important Bushies were doing the GJ a favor
by showing up--in a case as trivial as this, it should be voluntary.

Subtle, Sean...Yeah, being indicted has a very chilling effect on committing crimes in politics. We wouldn't want any of the civil rights of a powerful political machine to be violated by some loudmouthed citizen with a complaint!

3. The penalty for a blow job
is death by firing squad. Oh wait, it's not a crime at all.

4. Ask him why Rove said Plamme was "fair game"
Rove's memory didn't fail him during that conversation with Chris Matthews. Just remind him that this was supposed to be the era of personal responsibility. That's if he doesn't hang up already.

7. one never lies to a federal grand jury
it doesn`t matter what one knows or doesn`t know, one just can`t lie about it. it`s a federal offense-obstruction or perjury.

9. federal prosecutors are frivolous people, of course

and they indict people for purely frivolous reasons all the time. Especially when the spotlight is on them.

Oh, wait, I was thinking of Ken Starr for a moment.
