I have begun to debate a Bush supporter online,
and I was wondering what you thought of what I have said (the writing in the elipsees is my commentary, the link is here: http://boards.1up.com/zd/board/message?board.id=Off_Topic&message.id=209328&page=2)

There’s a load of non-issues on your list.

Meirs? So what? Now we get to have the fight we wanted in the first place. Filibuster anyone?

You’re blaming natural disasters on the GOP? Tell it to tree-huggers anonymous (ooooh, Kyoto. lol) (Kyoto would not have made a difference now. But, thirty, forty years from now, it's entirely possible it might if we were to adopt it and implement it's reforms). The handling of the aftermath? Plenty of threads about that.

Rove-Libby? What do you got there? Not leaking of a CIA agent. She would have needed to be overseas and undercover within 5 years of her name being mentioned. It was six, hoss. Perjury? You mean like Clinton? Gee, he turned out okay didn’t he - depending who you talk to, though he lost his license to practice law. (Considering that the CIA requested something be done, and the fact that she was working for a CIA front company that was currently tracking the possible channeling of money from URAMCO to terrorist groups , I think you're wrong).

Delay is bogus. When you can’t win at the ballot box, destroy them. It’s been in the Left’s handbook since Watergate. Oh, the heydays (What evidence is there that DeLay did nothing wrong? And insinuating that Nixon did nothing wrong in Watergate? I feel that is simply foolish).

Polls? It’s all in the questions.

Mid-term elections that we haven’t had yet show something?

What people think democrats would do a better job. 1% of people? 20%? Two people? LOL (Considering the approval ratings of the President, and the actions of a number of Republicans, I'll bet an increasing number are entertraining the thought).

(hmm?) Hahhaha! `nuff said.

The gaming community as a whole couldn’t give a shit unless you’re talking about taking away there GTA. A few individuals care, they’re mostly to the Left, uninformed, or both. (hardly).

Oh, and by the way, The Congress approval numbers are about as low as the President’s.

"LOL" is not a substitute for evidence or logic.

:spray: on the other hand...

I know it was probably the cowardly thing to do, but I don't need the stress of an argument of such potential magnitude, due to the amount of school work I now have.

4. First, why do you waste your time with these freakshows?
Second, (and I say this judging only by what you posted here) if you're going to fight them, don't be so fucking nice. Don't respond; attack. Watch out for distractors, red herring, etc. for example, he threw out a log of shit with the crack about GOP causing storms, and then dumped out Kyoto before you could address the miserable failure of the horse humping moron appointed by the snot nosed chimp whose elitist hatred of the poor left many to needlessly perish. Personally, I wouldn't have chased the Kyoto rabbit. That kind of crap will keep you running in circles unless you punch through it.

But you're staying in their toe to toe and that's awesome. Take a deep breath and go kick some ass. Don't be nice to these people. They don't deserve it. Hit 'em hard, make it personal. I don't do it anymore, but back when I used to debate them, I always kept it at the back of my mind that the goal was not only to win the debate, but to make them cry in the process. :-) I really hate these people!

8. You did a good job......
but repukes don't appreciate tactful discussion, so here's how I would've replied.....
------------------------------------------

Meirs? So what?
So your dipshit president flip flopped and he wants a do-over. Again he is exposed as a fool, and he is your party's leader which makes your support stupid. That's what.

Now we get to have the fight we wanted in the first place.
Bullshit, you and he lost. Admit it and get over it.

You’re blaming natural disasters on the GOP?
Nope, I'm blaming the criminally negligent response to the disasters on this incompetent chimp and his GOP administration.

Tell it to tree-huggers anonymous.
Fuck you we're not anonymous.

(ooooh, Kyoto. lol)
(oooh KKK lol)

The handling of the aftermath? Plenty of threads about that.
What do you think, did your boys do "a heckuva job?"

Rove-Libby? What do you got there?
We're finding out some good shit. Let's wait til it's official, shall we?

Not leaking of a CIA agent. She would have needed to be overseas and undercover within 5 years of her name being mentioned. It was six, hoss.
Good try, no cigar. You sound like a dittohead.

Perjury?
Yeah, you heard of it? It's called lying under oath. It's a crime. And that's just the beginning. woohoo!!

You mean like Clinton?
You can't get over him getting a blow job can you? Too bad, but y'all lost that one too. haha

Gee, he turned out okay didn’t he
Yep.

depending who you talk to, though he lost his license to practice law.
He makes a good living rubbing republican faces in their bullshit.

Delay is bogus.
I agree.

When you can’t win at the ballot box, destroy them.
The U.S. Justice Department handles that. Let's wait and see what they say shall we?

It’s been in the Left’s handbook since Watergate. Oh, the heydays
Y'all lost THAT one too!! you're 0 for 3 and we're just getting started.

What people think democrats would do a better job.
Intelligent people who don't drool, drag their knuckles, or listen to Rush Limbaugh's drug induced rants. Is that where you get your talking points? BTW, how's his legal defense team doing?

Hahhaha! `nuff said.
Nope, one last thing needs to be said. You're an idiot. bwahahaha

How about if you debate, you debate, and do not ask for help from the herd?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I guess when you run out of arguments, you run back to the hive for more talking points." No. I simply asked for their advice, and I would assume the same thing if someone were to, say, have asked for advice on FreeRepublic.com. Also, since I was engaging in the debate in this place, I assumed that help would be given automatically, and I would accept it. I have not run out of arguments, I simply no longer wish to engage in a debate on this subject, as I do not have the time to spend on it, as I said in a message I posted there. On what you have just said, however, I would like to discuss with you; and, in case you were wondering, I did post this there, if only to see what they thought of what you have said (my opinions are my own, but that does not mean I do not like to hear what others have to say on the subject, though I would take the advice of a few people there with more than a grain of salt).
