RW operative responsible for tanking Miers' nomination was

the guy who got charged with stealing the e-mails of Dems in Congress? Did I hear that right? Brian Lamb just read an article that told how the religious right was organized to take Miers out.

3. bwahaha that would be too ironic, given

that bushco's own Ashcroft tanked any real serious efforts to go after this guy, and that his efforts that gained him infamy had to do with trying to outsmart democratic efforts against nominations to the courts. This guy - to get off the hook - then lead an effort to tank - a repub nomination - would just be too much irony.
