CNN openly questioning the case for war.
I'm stunned. They are showing clips/interviews from "UNCOVERED."

I feel like I'm watching the Sundance channel, I can't believe I'm seeing some truth on CNN?

:wow:

18. Re-run. Not perfect, but WELL WORTH watching.
For a number of Americans, the first time they had seen this stuff and/or put it together.

3. where were they BEFORE the illegal invasion?
I mean, wouldn't a little investigative journalism been prudent at that point rather than several years after the fact?

:hide:

I'm just sayin'...

7. It's too late for Iraq, but not for Syria and Iran.
I agree the media failed us, perhaps more than any other entity.

nuttier with talk about pushing jews in the sea israel will act in conjunction, or alone if they feel they need to; either way, our 'free press' will be looking elsewhere for that scoop that pays them by in inch & keeps them getting 'access' & those A-list invitations to Georgetown cocktails parties imo

13. We can't believe everything we hear about Iran. But, if Israel acts
against them, that's their business. We've provided Israel wieht mucho mula over the years and they are capable of defending themselves if it should come to that.

As for the media, they love ratings and haven't much to lose since their boy is already in office for another few years.

:)

6. Well, at least the TV version of CNN is being kind
because the radio version today was full of RW quotes. I swear CNN radio is geared towards the 600 conservative talk radio stations out there. I guess I can't blame them for targeting their audience; I just wish our local AAR didn't carry it. CNN radio sounds very weird juxtaposed with Randi Rhodes (when she isn't preempted by a football game).

I know this thread isn't about CNN radio, but I could not resist.

20. Well in the end they pin this on the "intelligence community" which sucks
but they did show varied opinions, so that's a step in the right direction.

I didn't know they aired this before, thanks. I prefer "Uncovered" to this piece of course, but at least they showed a few snips.

23. My take was that the CIA took the fall for the White House but
that the White House actually drove the fraudulent run-up to the war.
Tenet was obviously talking out of both sides of his mouth in order to keep his job a little longer. Powell looked real bad also, as he should have. The Wilkerson observations were valuable to understanding Powell's involvement.

Tenet was definitely culpable so I guess it's fair they examine him, along with the * cabal.

24. A little weak at the conclusion, yes, but I'm sure many more people
saw this than "Uncovered," so we have to take it where we can get it.

we should cut CNN a slight break. I seem to remember within the same hour the planes struck the twin towers (9/11), CNN was reporting that this was not the work of Saddam.
Personally I was surprised they stayed on the air after that one 'cause we know that definitely didn't make the WH happy, in fact it might have thrown quite a screw in their plans.

Glad to hear they're finally doing their JOB... but the war started 2 and a half years ago. Could they be a little more late to the fucking party on this?
