Are we the only country obsessed with abortion?
Do other countries in the world ever use abortion as a political "hot button" issue like we do? I don't recall EVER reading about any other country arguing like we do over this ONE medical procedure. And yet this country is supposedly so far ahead with women's rights..... so are we? Europe? China? Asia? Eastern Europe? Australia? Canada? South America? What does the rest of the world think of our little abortion debate.

1. We're not alone.
Some of the more conservative, Catholic European countries have the same type of debate. I'm thinking Ireland and Poland in particular.

5. Too broad
More like "Conservative, Tradionalist Catholics", the entire church is still overall pretty diverse.

4. South America is also like this
as they have a long Catholic history. Of course the movements to overturn the "anti-abortion" laws are still pretty strong down there.

3. Some places try and fight abortion with really good health care - so
that abortion is rarer that way.
