Number of Pork Projects in Federal Spending Bills

2005 - 13,997
2004 - 10,656
2003 - 9,362
2002 - 8,341
2001 - 6,333
2000 - 4,326
1999 - 2,838
1998 - 2100
1997 - 1,596
1996 - 958
1995 - 1439

What do the escalating pork projects have in common? You tell me. For all the badmouthing Clinton gets from some people, there is something to be said for a divided government. They may not agree on stuff, and shut down government from time to time, but by God, nobody pulls anything over on the other one. Bring back divided government. The deficit can't take one party rule much more. IMHO.

4. Bush is he a good president?
I am a french student and i don't think bush is a good!
I is at war in Irak but the situation is worst, He wasn't able to provide the help needed by Katrina's victims, and he tries to justify his deeds by saying there are god's orders!

2. Bush has not only grown government, he has grown its share of GDP.
He has grown government spending much faster than GDP or inflation for every year he has been in office and has effectively been socializing the economy, though he has done it mainly on the defense and pork sides of the budget and somewhat with other ineffective programs such as that Medicare fiasco.

3. But the share of the GDP
going to members of Bush's class has also increased. These folks would bleed public schools dry and give our troops tinfoil armor, if it meant getting an extra buck fifty in their tax refund.

Penny wise and pound foolish!
