In a society that glamorizes youth and vitality, Halloween remembers the deceased. In a culture where appearance is of the utmost importance, Halloween is celebrated by wearing disguises.
I'm not pagan, but I have to admit: If Halloween were a person, she would make one heck of a heroic underdog. She is a holiday that is older than civilization itself; Her adherents still celebrate this day despite centuries of persecution and torture at the hands of the church.
If you love stories about overcoming overwhelming obstacles and achieving success, consider celebrating Halloween with extra enthusiasm this year. By staying true to her core values and roots, All Hallows Eve continues to thrive.
