Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 01:24 AM by NVMojo
About those leaves (aspens) ....Repubs like sex too! What a shocker!!!

Libby has a lot to live up to as a conservative author of erotic fiction. As an article in SPY magazine pointed out in 1988, from Safire (“ finally came to him in the bed and shouted ‘Arragghrrorwr!’ in his ear, bit his neck, plunged her head

how's this?

So, how does Libby stack up against the competition? This question was put to Nancy Sladek, the editor of Britain’s Literary Review, which, each year, holds a contest for bad sex writing in fiction. (In 1998, someone nominated the Starr Report.) Sladek agreed to review a few passages from Libby. “That’s a bit depraved, isn’t it, this kind of thing about bears and young girls? That’s particularly nasty, and the other ones are just boring,” she said. “God, they’re an odd bunch, these Republicans.” Unlike their American counterparts, she said, Tories haven’t taken much to sex writing. “They usually just get caught,” she said.

10. Fair enough
(BTW, in the graphic in your last post, what was being said that caused Phyllis Schlafly to plug her ears to avoid hearing it?)

5. So Libby's kinky
Most of the RW are. I think they choose to want to legislate for morality because they are the biggest offendors. It's no new secret.

8. How's that quote go?
That which is not forbidden is compulsory.

Repubs feel guilty about all those things they are forced to do because they are not illegal. So they legislate to make them illegal, so they won't have to do them anymore.

Damn! I think I just comprehended a bit of repub logic! I wonder if it's catching.

I'm sorry I haven't time for a proper post today, but I feel compelled to draw your attention to The New Yorker's excerpts from the 1996 novel The Apprentice. Paedophilia, incest, bestiality: welcome to the inner life of Scooter Libby.

"At age ten the madam put the child in a cage with a bear trained to couple with young girls so the girls would be frigid and not fall in love with their patrons. They fed her through the bars and aroused the bear with a stick when it seemed to lose interest."

And

"He asked if they should fuck the deer."

14. Libby skipped over the parts
Where a male prostitute gets to visit the Bush-Republican White House 200 times, and then the press pretends it never happened.

Could have made his book into a best seller -- because the TRUTH really sells (if it ever sees the light of day).

15. Richard Clark on fictionalized sex scenes
anyone hear him on Fresh Air the other day talking about his new book and how someone called him and said, "please! don't write a sex scene!" he said something funny like a Washington bureaucrat-written sex scene would sound like a 4th-quarter budget -- words to that effect.

CRINGE! politicos should know better than to try and write "hot stuff." yikes.
