It was odd to see rightwinger Sen Brownback (R-KS) at Rosa Parks'
funeral service in the AME Church. They mentioned him and Conyers (from MI, Parks' home state)I don't know the connection of Brownback.

1. It was Sam's chance to appear in a church.
Drawn like a fly to poop, he wouldn't miss the opportunity.

2. When one of the speakers mentioned "Bill Clinton was president then",

referring to when Rosa Parks received a gold medal, the congregation started to clap, then it built up, then it built up to a standing ovation. Believe it or not Brownback was clapping with a smile on his bigoted face.

3. Brownback has made attempts to appeal to African-American voters ...
... back home in Kansas with his support on a couple of their issues. His appearance at Rosa Parks' memorial seems more like an attempt to draw support from blacks nationally as he eyes a presidential bid.

(No doubt he's such a liberal now that he's painted the "lawn jockey" in his front yard white!) :eyes:
