If it is established that the WH interfered with the charter of the IOC, the resulting ramifications indeed will be worse than watergate. That is the real issue on the table. Sure the "use" or "manipulation" of intelligence to support a "rush to war" is huge... but for the executive branch of the government to meddle and impede the duties of the legislative branch is a much bigger deal. I think this is where the dems are going.

Proving the WH "mis-used" or "manufactured" information to support a war... is frankly..."small time" when it comes to abject violation of the US constitution. Think about it.... showing true and malicious abuse of executive power would be a larger and more troubling, albeit pyrrhic, victory.

I am afraid what we will find is that it is really the extra-governmental interests like PNAC that have been manipulating the WH as well as interfering with Congressional business and attempting to take over the judiciary.

Business. This war was very much conceived to allow companies like Halliburton to profit.
