7. I strongly approve of what he did today--but he has disappointed me often
in the past, and he is anti-choice, which is very hard for me to get around.

9. Reid
While I don't agree with him on everything he Is a good leader. he Is
better than Daschle. He doesn't run away from Dean,and has called
Barbara boxer a Sister. Reid also shows how Inclusive Democrats are.
Reid Is a Mormon,and Is Pro-Life,and anti gun control. Let's see the
Republicans put up a non majority religion follower,pro choice,and Pro
gun control. Which they like to say they are Inclusive but they really aren't.

Pay attention to two incredible coups in the last month.

1. Miers. Single handedly set up by Reid.
2. Today's extremely shrewd move.

More to come I'm sure.

Who cares what he thinks about individual issues as long as he keeps playing tough with the Repugs.

16. This atheist does not care about people's religion
If they keep their religion out of my government I'm generally fine with them. I don't measure individuals on individual issues.

The best I can figure Harry doesn't try to legislate us all into being Mormons. He's highly ethical. And from all appearances, he's tough as nails. He takes the battle to the Repugs.

What more do you want? Egg in your beer?

21. I was thrilled with his actions today...
but his failure to obtain a party line vote on CAFTA and the Bankruptcy Bill still leaves me cold. At the end of the day, it's all about the votes. If he couldn't keep them in line, there should have been harsh (and public) repercussions.

DUers either have short memories or expect too little from their reps, IMO.
