Wolf Blitzer is now saying there is a terror plot against Washington, DC
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 07:12 PM by IndianaGreen
Now on CNN

Everytime Bush gets bad news, such as the anti-FTAA demonstrations, there is a new terra alert.

On edit:

CNN crawler says that police in Britain confiscated film showing how to make a car bomb. Video was bound for America.

RED ALERT! RED ALERT!

9. I will say that while MSNBC
was calling the protests at the summit anti-american and the same that happened to Clinton, Wolf was saying they were nothing like the ones when Clinton was there. He said those were economic protests and these are anti-bush riots. He said the anger and violence didn't happen when Clinton was there.

It is rare that I defend him but I was impressed he wasn't spinning it as anti-American.

8. Who's Wolfie getting his info from...
Lookie here...
http://www.yuricareport.com/Media/OnPatRobertsonWolfeBlitzerAndDavidCorn.html

It’s scary to hear someone carry-on like Pat. But it’s sort of strange to realize that Pat and Wolf Blitzer go way back together. Yep! Wolf used to work for Pat Robertson's CBN way back when Pat was setting up his news bureau and Wolf was the 700 Club’s reporter from the Middle East. He was a lot younger in those days, but in those beginning days Pat exposed Wolf Blitzer to a viewing audience that topped the Nielsen ratings at 28.7 million monthly viewers! That’s a great way to launch one’s career. But Wolf Blitzer likes to keep that part of his career kind of quiet. He doesn’t list the 700 Club’s news bureau in his biography. He doesn’t tell CNN’s audience that Pat was like an angel to him when he was just an independent reporter starting out. But those of us who watched Pat’s show could never forget Wolf Blitzer’s reports. He was presented to us as such an expert—we were just so proud of him! And look how high he’s gone. You’d think he’d give Pat a little credit. No doubt he says “Thanks” by inviting him on CNN!

One day a fourth-grade teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up fireman, mechanic, businessman, salesman, doctor, lawyer, and so forth.

12. Film showing how to make a car bomb?
Did they find anything that wouldn't be readily available on the Internets?

The other night Jon Stewart opened the show by saying there had been bad news for the Administration...and you know what that means.

He didn't even have to prompt the audience. It's too obvious now. The little boy is crying wolf. The danger is that it we are going to get hit again, and one of these times an alert might be legit. Too bad no one will be paying attention.

More than likely though, we'll get hit when no one is expecting it...

Target Washington?
Three men arrested in London may have been part of a plot to blow up the U.S. Capitol and the White House

WEB EXCLUSIVE
By Mark Hosenball
Newsweek
Updated: 6:07 p.m. ET Nov. 4, 2005

Nov. 4, 2005 - Investigators in the United States and Britain are urgently investigating information suggesting that a group of terrorism suspects recently arrested in the London area may have been plotting to blow up Washington landmarks using homemade bombs. Counterterrorism officials, who asked to remain anonymous because the investigation was continuing, said the suspects’ possible targets included the White House and the U.S. Capitol complex.

18. I don't know but the guy on Tweety's show is John Meecham.
He was just on again and I saw his name this time.

Newsweek is usually pretty rough on the admin, so I don't know if there's some truth to this story or not.

I don't want to minimize this, but it has been predicted by many on DU.
It is possible, I suppose, that it is true. But it just has seemed that the timing of these things is always SO convenient.
