US News: Cheney digs in deeper to his bunker
Cheney and Bush are convinced that they must just dig in deeper into their bunker rather than make intelligent, reasoned decisions for some changes:

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/051114/14cheney.htm

"Far from being chastened by recent setbacks, including the indictment of his chief of staff, Vice President Dick Cheney is thumbing his nose at his critics--and encouraging President Bush to do the same. "Bush and Cheney are standing as one," says a prominent Republican who regularly advises the White House. "Their strategy is to get the conservative base solidified again, and Cheney is key because he is the administration's main link to the right."

I guess Dick knows this is his last chance to rape America, so he is hanging tough, not giving in. Giving in might lead him to a court where they are deciding on his war crimes.

"Behind the scenes, Cheney is feeding Bush's instinct never to give ground when under attack, White House advisers say, despite rising concern among Republicans that the president doesn't realize the depth of his political trouble. With Bush's job-approval ratings at historic lows, 52 percent of Americans think the indictment of Cheney's former chief of staff Lewis "Scooter" Libby reflects broader ethics problems in the administration, according to a Washington Post/ABC News Poll."

The dummy-in-chief does not know that he is in trouble. GRRRRRR!!!

"Says a former adviser to a Republican president: "In some ways, Cheney is closing a wall around himself."

Bush later is described as not caring what the Dems think anymore, as long as he has 51%. Hahaha!! The prez does NOT have 51% - he has 36%, and very skittish senators, they all are like cats on a hot tin roof, don't you think???

Good article, plus the freepers are over there getting in a tizzy about this. Isn't it fun???

3. Cheney 's big mistake
is that he is not able to adapt to changing needs--we need him out of there, and we need him out of there now.
He and his inner circle will drive their ship into the ground.

13. I would cast Cheney as Senator Palpatine, actually ...
.. the resemblance - as well as the pure, selfish, manipulative evil he emanates - is frightening.

Unlike Darth, Cheney never had a chance in hell of being 'a saviour'.

:hi: Excellent toon, though !!

5. We should be protesting
Darth Cheney at every appearance he does as hard as Bush is protested. Mr 19% can kiss my ass.

8. It's beautiful. BEE-YOU-ti-ful!!
They are their own worst enemies. Reminds me of Hitler in his bunker. When will they start blaming the American people for turning on them?

9. Man, these people are classless freaks with no social skills...
Are we really reading about the behavior of the Vice President and President of the United States?

So, when two politicians--who are servants of the people in a democracy--have differing views from their constituents--the answer is to never given an inch and to hide from everyone?

Do these people have any common sense or skills?

I've seen middle-school student governments run by more creative, intelligent and dignified people.

These very damaged, classless freaks are so inept--that they don't know how to compromise, communicate with the general public, listen to others and build consensus.

Instead, they chose to hide in the cloak closet until the people are gone.

Someone did a number on these people, during their formative years. We are dealing with people who are emotionally stunted.

11. All of America will become their enemy, not just dems and media?
That will be the next step, hiding in their bunker from
the very people they are supposed to be serving. Their insanity
is becoming more blatant every day.
