2. There was a huge turnout in my precinct.
I predicted 80-20 on prop 2. Right now it is 76-24.

3. No surprises there, then.
:(

My stepmother was gloating that her vote cancelled out mine. Probably the only straight NO vote ballot in my precinct! haha

4. Dumb flat earthers thank God I have no desire to live south
I live in Az probably the only state that Texas can make look normal.

Counting the days till I can finally move away from religious yahoos who think the earth is flat and that Jesus is in fact a white guy born in Dallas.

7. Texas likes their gay men to be preachers and have families I guess...
that will make their children more stable.

9. Texas runs ~13% more conservative than average

for the country, and gay marriage legalization support runs 35-38% nationally with ~8% undecideds who won't show up to vote, probably, or lean as the state/region does, i.e. against gay marriage legalization. Strict opposition to gay marriage is ~55% nationally.

So a 'Yes' vote in the seventies and a 'No' vote in the twenties is expectation for a vote against gay marriage legalization in Texas in 2005.
