So how does that translate to Kwame Kilpatrick winning with 53%? What is the strategy of Detroiters here? Is the goal to drive Detroit into receivership? Maybe I misunderstand the goal.

Hey, Kwame says the Lord was on his side. Must be the same Lord who is the Bush Whisperer... the one is absolutely crazy about theft of public funds.

People truly have no trouble voting against their own interests in order to see a political dynasty, because political dynasties are just so cool 'n stuff.

2. I don't get it either
Must be something in the water. Detroit car makers don't get it, Detroit voters don't get it, nobody seems be getting it down there. WTF?

3. I think we Canton folks get our water from Detroit
which is why I'm glad I drink bottled water!:7

It's heartbreaking to see Detroit do this to itself. I had very high hopes for Kwame when he first took office, and he let me down badly. Call me crazy, but I don't give thieves second chances.

Good luck, Detroit. You're going to need it.

4. We get our water in Warren from Detroit
I drink lots of it everyday. It's pretty good. When I lived in Detroit, the water was pretty good, too. It's one thing the city manages to do a decent job with.

My guess is that Kwame is Jackie Currie's candidate. Ms. Currie did not get re-elected as city clerk, however, which is a very good thing. Those ads released by Kwame over the weekend, of the footage of the school board meeting in which Hendrix had the "grandmother" removed by the police didn't help, either. People don't remember how badly the disrupters at those meetings were acting at the time.

I was also disappointed in Kwame. I thought he had potential in 2001, but has shown himself to be hopelessly corrupt. I feel bad for Detroit cops.
