NYT: Bloomberg cruises, Corzine wins costly....
2 elections with obscene spending - in one both candidates spend (Corzine and the GOP) in the other one candidate obliterates the other with 100 million (that we know of) plus scares donors from opposition. Yet, one's victory is a cruise, a lansslide, reason fr celebration. The other guy's is "surprising" - and dirty tricks (ex-wife for the opposition) are brough back in the news.
Why? because the "cruiser" is GOP, and the "costly winner" a dem.
And I mentioned NYT, but all media , print and Tv is doing it - and NOBODY NOTICES!!!!!

2. As far as costs: 60 mil for a state election in NJ - by BOTH, 100 mil
for a city election in NYC - BY ONE CANDIDATE - yet the obscenity is somehow in New jersey , all's well in NYC - maddate, landslide etc.
Considering the number of votes, he spent over $100 for each vote - but that's reason for pride!

3. Also, Bloomberg got LESS votes now than in 2001

For all the LaGuardia comparisons and lanslide compliments, Bloomberg got LESS votes now than he hot in 2001:
744,757 in 2001
701,268 2005
Yet the media harps on the dismal turnout inn New Jersey...

4. Um, Bloomberg did cruise to victory.
If you're gonna tilt at windmills, you still might want to leave the New York Times out of it. Isn't Bloomberg a RINO anyway? If I recall correctly, he's a Democrat who became a Republican not out of conviction but to bypass the typically messy mayor primary.
