McClellan: Democrats' victories result of local issues, not a "trend"
Just now on MSNBC, with Bob Kur reporting.

McClellan's response to last night's victories was that they "were decided as the result of local and state issues, and he sees no evidence whatsoever of a larger trend."

Keep dreaming, Scottie.

"I lied THIS many times."

1. They were local and state elections, genius.
Edited on Wed Nov-09-05 11:14 AM by Richardo
Of COURSE they were decided on local and state issues. :eyes:

You and the rest of the cabal better get on your knees and thank Ba'al that it was NOT a national election last night. You'd all be packing up your offices today.

17. Yep...I posted the Hayworth remarks in a separate thread.
That's REALLY the "litmus test," when rats like Hayworth start jumping ship.

Oh...I forgot. Bush doesn't believe in litmus tests.

Do you think McClellan gets tired of being trotted out like the Administration's stupid cousin, or does he even realize what's happening?

15. Right. What the election proves is
that a Republican can be elected if he spends millions of dollars of his own money, walks and quacks like a democrat, and doesn't have a republican base to worry about alienating.

Or, to put it a little differently: the Republican-conservative political machine has had its day.

Kinda wierd that Republican uselessness, corruption, dirty methods, and irrelevance were issues everywhere, though. Oh, the particulars are different for each one...gee, knock me over with a feather.

It's called 'not seeing the forest for all the trees'.

It's simple, really. Humpty Dumpty is in charge of the language.

When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,' it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master - that's all.'
