Reform Ohio Went Down, It was suppose to pass
So since I haven't heard from Reform Ohio, and I heard from them every day via phone and E-mail before the vote, I went to www.reformohio.com to see if I could see what's up, and what I found was more dirty tricks from the evil Repubs who will burn in Hell!!!!!!

1. I have a working theory about Diebold
the GEMS database, has a certain percentage of YES votes that will be flipped in any election.

They confused the issues and the real NO were added to the flipped ones, making it even harder to prove, or for people to believe that something is amiss.

The elections were not clean all over but for the most part we had enough votes the right way across the country, the flips were not enough.

2. We must stop allowing them to step all over us
There are certainly enough informed people that we could
stop this.

4. I think VERY low voter turnout did it.
Especially in places like Cuyahoga County.

6. The reformohio.com site has disappeared
Must be some sort of coincidence. :eyes: There's no Google cache of it either. Can anyone tell me what was on this site?

7. A no brainer
Reform Ohio Now "should" have known enough to reserve any and all web addresses similar to theirs to prevent this kind of thing. It does make one wonder about Reform Ohio Now, if they were the real thing or just really stupid.

8. I wonder if they were just outgunned.
This truly was a grass-roots movement, without support from a major political party. Even the Ohio Democratic Party didn't help with the reforms (they like their big contributions too). Without this big campaign fund to draw on, Reform Ohio probably didn't have the money to buy lots of ads, websites, etc.; while the big lobbys they're fighting had tons of money to drsw on. It was David & Goliath, and it looks like Goliath won.

10. Actually it wasn't really grassroots
it only appeared to be. The campaign was run by a high priced, Repub connected political consultant, Burges & Burges. They were way out of their league on this one, and doubtless could have cared less whether the issues passed or didn't as long as they were paid their retainer in advance.

This was a high priced campaign that helped supplement the salaries of an unimaginative group of overpaid political hacks. They saw a chance to make some money, that's all.

12. The whole campaign was started by hacks?
It seemed to be legitimate - maybe they just hired the wrong consultants? I really do think the organizers had their hearts in the right place. You seem to be suggesting that the whole campaign was run by Republicans to make some money?

9. It was all about Reform Ohio through the eyes of a Repub.
Lies that must have been effective.

11. Evidently Ohio likes its politics corrupt and steaming
In the best Republican tradition.
