Bush's Medal ceremony upstaged by Jordan explosions on MSNBC
MSNBC was covering Bush's Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony from the White House...GOD, was it painful to listen to the Connecticut Cowboy talk about Greenspan playin' jazz clarinet in his early days, and how we owe him so much for our wonderful economy and his vision and his integrity and his blah blah blah...when Chris Jansing said that they INTENDED to have live coverage of the whole thing, but they needed to break away for LBN on the explosions in Jordan.

POOR Junior...he can't even milk a photo op like he used to.

6. I'm not laughing at the explosions
I didn't think that came across in my posts, but apparently it did.

One more time, to be perfectly clear: I'm not laughing at the explosions.

I'm laughing at Bush.

4. I really don't understand what the Medal of Freedom stands for....
what does Greenspan have to do with freedom? If Greenspan is responsible for our economy, as bush says, he should be put in shackles.

Bastard Greenspan! Covering up all these years for the lying POS in the Oval Office.

URGENT! Timing is critical to save earthquake victims before winter!

10. That's because the "medal of freedom" is bogus.

Didn't George Tenet get one too?
It seems to be the all-standard Bush crony award now. I wouldn't be surprised if Chalabi got one next. :eyes:

5. Yup! It's downhill all the way for him now. Someone ought to give
him a pair of skis to get down faster.

Actually, that would make a good cartoon or bumper sticker.

Picture of bush doing a little downhill skiing. A little payback for the Wind surfing Kerry ad.

8. Muhammed Ali is one of the recipients, I believe.
The museum dedicated to him is opening here in town this month.

It's larger than I thought it would be. Don't have a pic but here's some info:

12. Ali and Aretha
I wonder what Muhummad Ali (who was one of the "Black Power" athletes at the '68 Olympics) and Aretha said to the Chimp? I'd have liked to have been a fly on the wall for that one! :D
