Cheney: Back to nature (that butthole is on vacation AGAIN)
Cheney: Back to Nature. Unfazed by the seeming implosion of his own office — with his ex-chief of staff under indictment and his own integrity under scrutiny — Vice President Cheney is off on his fifth annual pheasant hunting trip in South Dakota. According to the Rapid City Journal, the veep is staying “at a private hunting lodge near Gettysburg and is expected to be in the state for a few days.” Sources in South Dakota tell HOH that Cheney is staying where he often does, at the Paul Nelson Farm, a hunting lodge that, incidentally, is owned by the father of Ryan Nelson, Sen. John Thune’s (R-S.D.) state political director.

Oddly, it appears as if the White House Cone of Silence extends to pheasant hunting: The vice president’s office did not respond to HOH’s inquiries about the hunting trip. We wondered: How many birds did he shoot? What kind of hunting dog did he use? Who did he hunt with? And, since Cheney has been on an aggressive crusade to reverse rules that ban the CIA from engaging in torture and inhumane treatment of detainees, was his treatment of the birds cruel and inhumane?

Jason Schulte, executive director of the South Dakota Democratic Party, couldn’t resist an opportunity to analogize Cheney’s politics to his policy on torture. “His politics are torture,” Schulte told HOH. “What’s really sort of unfortunate here is that a vacation to shoot some birds has taken precedence over coming clean to the American people.”

DNC spokesman Josh Earnest chimed in, noting that Cheney apparently is missing the first session of the new White House ethics classes. “Apparently, he’s expecting to crib the extensive notes that his controversial new chief of staff is surely taking,” Earnest said.

3. Some "hunt." Caged birds released in front of his face.
Here is a shocker: Cheney is into hunting for the slaughter, not the stalking. Wonder which Enron-type sleazeballs he is "hunting" with this time?

4. Dick may I suggest Penguins in Antarctica. I hear this is the perfect
time of year. PS bring your night vision goggles and a sweater or two.
The most sporting way to hunt is with spear, mask and snorkel.
