I am having a CRS attack. Please help. Didn't the shrub give

Saddam and his sons 48 hours to get out of Iraq and then try to kill them in a bombing attack before the 48 hours were up? Or am I trying to "change history?"

1. True, it was I think 3 hrs early when the first bombs fell.

The excuse was they had intel of Saddam's location so they wanted to hit him off guard.

4. Let's be careful not to try to make those bastards look like some

kind of heroes, even though bush is a lying skunk. I don't think that is your intention...it's just that lately I have seen some posts that tend to look at Saddam and his posse with rose colored glasses, and I think that distorts our message. IMHO.

I wasn't picking on the post which was totally valid; just using this opportunity to voice my concern about the other issue.

said they'd behead a hostage in Iraq if their demands were not met in 48 hours and then lopped off the head 3 hours early? We'd probably flatten the whole province the incident happened in.

Actually all I was looking for was information to refresh my recollection about another Bush lie. Information I should have remembered from Woodward's book. Ask yourself this, if the bombing raid had succeeded in killing Saddam & Sons, would BushCo have just called for elections and brought the troops home without invading?
