About 35% of the country still thinks he shits diamonds out of a platinum asshole. They will not change their minds because they don't want to -- they've already invested so much into Bushism, psychologically, that they can't stand the thought that their idol is a lying piece of crap. I think that even if Bush is caught on live TV buggering a Cub Scout, there is a rock-solid core of hopeless dumbasses who will go to their graves thinking he's Jesus' twin brother.
