O'Reily Blasts San Francisco Firemen
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10004302

You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead," O'Reilly continued, referring to the 1933 San Francisco landmark that sits atop Telegraph Hill.

http://sanfrancisco.about.com/cs/murals/a/coittower.htm

One of the San Francisco's oddest landmarks, which also boasts breath-taking views, is Lillie Hitchcock Coit's homage to firemen, Coit Tower. This California State Historic Landmark...was constructed in 1933 with $118,000 bequeathed by Lillie to beautify the city and build a monument to honor her firemen buddies.

Shaped like the nozzle of a fire hose, the tower is 210 feet tall and sits at the summit of Telegraph Hill, the site of a telegraph station in 1856. During the Gold Rush, a semaphore on the hill displayed signal flags to announce the arrival of ships carrying mail and supplies.

....

At the foot of the hill below Coit Tower is this statue honoring Firemen:

number on public service employees, firefighters included.

I am SO glad his sneaky-ass, let's-turn-this-blue-state-red strategy was sent straight to Hell by the voters here. Maybe, with any luck, we can do the same with o'LIEly eventually, too. Arnold says he's sorry and that he now wants to work with everybody and make nice-nice, and he's busily handing out olive branches all over the place. But he's still a republi-CON, and therefore NOT to be trusted. Any more than that nice, pleading, conciliatory scorpion is - who's begging for a piggyback ride across the swolen river...

4. Who are the people that listen to O'Lielly?
I mean really, who in their right mind could take this shrill, egocentric, pseudo-intellectual pus wart seriously? "The Factor", a factor is part of a whole and in O'Lielly's case I'm quite sure which "part of the hole" he is. The asshole.

23. "Who are the people that listen to O'Lielly?"
My relatives. They've totally drank the Kool-Aid. They love GW Hoover, Rusty Limpdick, Sean Insanity, etc. Dild O'Reilly, like the others, is nothing but an fscking bully & a pompous ass. I also can't understand why anyone w/>2 working brain cells finds them interesting.

5. What a wonderful statue
Thanks for posting it, Dr. Fate. It truly is a treasure.

Shouldn't ol' Bill be getting a visit from Homeland Security for inviting terrorists over to 'play' in SF's backyard?

Strangely disgusting how the peaceful leftie is considered unAmerican when the pompous and self-righteous conservatives like O'Reilly, Coulter, Robertson and friends advocate violence on Americans and American soil. Something is terribly wrong with these people, and those that listen to/believe them.

16. No, it doesn't make it better.
In fact, it makes it much, much worse...like the pastor during WWII who was burning books in German until somebody pointed out to him that one of the books he was burning was a bible.

It means he didn't even bother to find out what the meaning was. Or who it commemorated. But that's typical of this admin and their boot lickers.

Adding to the buzz was the archived version of O'Reilly's Tuesday show, which omitted the incendiary comments, according to Bay Area TV station KNTV.
