He's sleepy!
From Robert Novak no less:

WASHINGTON -- President Bush was furious with the staff preparation for last week's inter-American summit in Argentina where his trade proposals ran into unexpected opposition.

<SNIP>

The crowning indignity for Bush was the Friday night state dinner starting at 10 p.m., an hour when the president normally is in bed. He left the dinner early, but it was midnight by then.

1. Bush "furious" with staff? Bullshit.
This eleventh-hour spin, trying to portray Bush as well-meaning and innocent, somehow being misled and pushed around by his advisors, is absurd.

It's true that Bush is a dupe and a puppet, but he's smart enough to know what he's gotten himself into.

Here's Bush's deal: He gets to play tough-guy in front of the cameras, and behind the scenes he gets to keep his trap shut and do what he's told. He likes it that way because that's really all he's capable of doing, and he knows it.

2. They held the state dinner past Georgie's bedtime.
Then they made him sit at the kids' table.

3. Oh Bobbie N... May I point out
Argentina is TWO hours ahead of Washington DC.... So that 10:00 dinner is really 8:00 DC time and the after midnight is really after 10:00..

Cry me a River Bobbie....

4. His crowning indignity should be that anyone knows this
What idiot wouldn't know that flexibility comes with his job description?

I don't know how he can sleep at all. I suppose we should be grateful- Less waking time; less damage done?

5. That wasn't his fault either!
In fact, nothing ever is! BUSH IS GOD.

Dear Resident Bush:

Everyone on Earth hates your guts. Every world leader you are forced to meet with is smarter than you are. Every one of them is liked better than you are. Every one of them feels, when they look at you or listen to you speak, a mixture of pity that you're so far out of your depth and fear that you will start WWIII in a drunken rage. Want to feel prepared/at home? STAY IN YOUR BEDROOM AND ONLY TALK TO YOUR SYCOPHANTS.

Sincerely,
A. Citizen
