Bush's little black dress - excerpt from "The Truth, with lies" -
Al Franken: As the wife of of blogger Dwight Meredith obeserved, 9/11 became Bush's "little black dress". Meaning he could slip it on for almost any occasion. Bush put on his little black dress to accuse Senate Democrats of not being sufficiently patriotic, to unravel Americans' civil liberties, to make the case for drilling in ANWAR, and even as an excuse not to allow prescription drugs to be reimported from Canada. In the lead-up to the Iraq War, he went a step further and accessorized his little black dress with a strand of Richard Perles.
He also wore his little black dress with pumps - when he was pumping his economic record. Page 41-42.

2. I opened this thread because
I thought Franken had the skinny on * being a cross-dresser. Not the same as a bj but it just might have do the trick to turn the RWers against him completely. (sigh)

:)

3. I liked that analogy a lot.

I know Al Franken meant "the little black dress" as humor, but it's the perfect analogy. Sadly, on Friday, Bush once again took out "the little black dress" on a most inappropriate occasion.
