Repugnik McCain says "wrong to say President Lied"
Repugnik Senator John McCain on CBS's "Face The Nation" among other asinine things says it's wrong to say the President Lied.

http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/face_111305.pdf

Takes you to the PDF Transcript,

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/09/18/ftn/main856364.shtml

You can see a snipped of the video there.

Now, to the commentary after posting the factual information.

John McCain is apparently trying to set himself up again for another White House Run, we can debate endlessly if we would be better off with McCain over the Chimp, however that is the game of what if, instead of what is.

McCain is wrong in this case, calling a lie anything else demeans the awesome lie that was perpetrated on the nation over Iraq and Afghanistan. A lie that today continues to murder innocents abroad. Children will grow to cancer from the WMD's the Army uses. They won't have a life and the children the civillians have will continue to suffer birth defects from the depleted Uranium shells our "troops" fire in the name of imperialism.

We have the Repugniks on the ropes, that is obvious from the statements of McCain, and the defiant smirks of the chimp. The more trouble he's in, the more he smirks and struts. When he is under pressure, he reverts to the frat boy who has it all covered, with Dad's money of course.

We must advise our leaders in Washington to keep the pressure up. Demand an end to the Torture, bring the troops home and end our offensive army once and for all. Provide for the National Defense doesn't require hundreds of billions of dollars of INVASION equipment and ships. We need a National Guard, but not an offensive imperialist military. We need to continue telling the American People the truth, the Big Lie is falling apart, and more of the people are realizing the truth, and together we can herald in a new era of prosperity and vitality in our nation. We can continue the permenant revolution now that we have demonstrated enough truth to whip "W" in the last elections. The future is wide open.

What do you expect from a total Bushbot. He reminds of an abused wife, who continues to publicly defend her abuser.

3. Please
My Vietnam vet father (Democrat) always liked and really respected McCain. However, during a recent phone conversation my dad simply said "Since McCain is buddies with W and now has defended W on several occasions despite treatment from Conservatives I simply cannot respect him any longer" My dad is very loyal almost to a fault. I never have heard him say anything along these lines. I simply had to agree. Screw McCain.

18. Well, he sure didn't defend his wife and daughter when THEY were
so viciously and hideously smeared during the 2000 primary campaign South Carolina. As a wife, a mother, AND an adoptee, I resent that DEEPLY!!! Instead, we later see him crawling around on his hands and knees, embracing the guy who oversaw that smear-job. YES, george, YOU are responsible for THAT, TOO. It was done in YOUR name, by YOUR people, with YOUR approval, to benefit YOU. And the fact that McCain wants to hug and kiss you in public and drape himself around you and eat cake with you while New Orleans is drowning, and defending you even to this late date, well - McCain is NOWHERE with me. No way on earth I can ever respect him. Wonder why his wife stands for it?

I agree, thefloyd. Screw McCain.

4. McCain is so busy
spinning from the left to the right he may take off like a Tazmanian devil!

I will never respect a person who can't decide what side of the fence to fight for. If he wants to be a Repub then be one, stop trying to be all things to all people! That just makes you look stupid and small.

7. Interesting choice of words:
"Wrong to say the president lied."

Think about it:

It's wrong to SAY IT? That doesn't mean its true. It just means he thinks its a bad idea to say it.

9. What I don't get is Russert seems to always be harder on Dean??
I mean, he did not seem to challenge Mehlman on the "we should not play politics with this issue" and that is what got played on Charles Osgood's radio snip this AM and NO ONE pipes up and says....well the VP seemed to be playing politics by outing a CIA agent to smear her husbands reputation in the Plame case and that was about the lousy intel the White House was pushing!!!.... Not to get into the childish "they did it first" debate but all the Sunday Morning shows seem to always give the Admin and Repuglicants a pass???

14. This post is directed at the DUers that still think McCain is...
...the best thing to happen to the democratic party since sliced bread.

Knock it off!! He's a republican through and through; worse yet a very conservative republican who has stuck up for George Bush more times imaginable. We do not want him as our democratic candidate nor do we even want him as the VP. Hell I don't even want him in my party.

He's as bad as the rest of them although he does a better job of wearing his sheep clothing to hide the fact that he is a republican wolf!

Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 11:12 AM by kweerwolf
... he just strategically misrepresented facts for purposes of leading political and public opinion toward a conclusion unsupported by reality.

There! Does that sound better, Mr. McCain?

Edit to add:

17. McCain voted "guity" on both articles in Clinton impeachment...
Perjury article--GUILTY
Obstruction of justice article--GUILTY

One hopes he will do the same when the House presents their case.

Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 12:14 PM by calimary
to get us OUT of the torture business. AND THEN, I said... (now that I had their attention) that I wanted very much to reassure him that IT'S OKAY TO SAY bUSH LIED. BECAUSE HE DID. And you can just roll back the videotape if you need proof. It's OKAY to say bush LIED.

I tried to be nice and cordial and gentle, and kept my voice sweet. I reminded them that bush lied, cheney lied, rummy lied, contradicta lied (the staffer who took my call actually snickered when I said "contradicta"), and that he shouldn't be making excuses for them. It's OKAY to say bush LIED. Because we all need to be speaking the truth, don't we? And it's the truth to say bush LIED.

(202) 224 - 2235 is his Washington office.
