Yesterday on Lou Dobbs
was a Republican Congressman (or was he a Senator?) from Texas who quoted then governor Bush from 1999 complaining that Clinton did not reveal his exit strategy from Kosovo. Right before him, Bob Dole was commenting that we are still there and no one made a big deal (I am paraphrasing) about Clinton there.

It is clear that the Republicans, especially those up for re-election next year, are ready to abandon the sinking ship.

2. Well, we are still in Kosovo, and just about everywhere else.
Camp Bondsteel. At least last I heard.

I hate to say it but they are right that we are still there. I doubt we will ever leave Iraq either.

4. But we do not pour millions of dollars there and we are not losing
on average 5 soldiers a week.

6. That's not my point.
When they say we are still there, how does one argue? We are there. Not the same as in Iraq maybe. But we are there.

7. Don't think we've lost
any soldiers in Kosovo and we ended the genocide and it didn't take years. We also had much greater international support.

We are "still" in Japan and Germany, too, but we aren't getting blown up and are not "occupiers."

Another pointless apple/oranges argument from the Repugs.
