things he made so many Americans and the world aware of through that movie?

1. The fear tactic behind the terra alerts
2. The 7 minutes reading My Pet Goat

Anyone else?

IMO, shutting out M. Moore is really, really allowing the other side to define the debate. That was a great movie. Historic in its changing of awarenesses.

It won at Caanes (or was it a different Int'l film festival), and it won the People's Choice Awards.

To turn away from Michael Moore would be a victory for the evil spirit of Joseph McCarthy.

1. I have consistently supported Michael Moore.
He is a strong progressive voice, and his work product is very educational.

2. His films are excellent emotionally.
But their factual accuracy has occasionally been below acceptable standards.

3. I don't believe that is accurate regarding F911.
Do you have examples?

10. Mostly factual
IIRC he played loose with the "flying the Saudis out of US" in F911, in that he implied (again, IIRC) the Saudis flew out when flights were cancelled all over the US. In actuality (IIRC) they flew out shortly before or shortly after the restriction was in effect.

To me, as long as it's 95% accurate, I'm not going to sweat the other 5%. The 5% doesn't invalidate the 95%.

12. I recall some discussion of that. I agree either way close enough, but
I thought he was correct.

6. If Michael Moore never did anything else than call attention to the
"Pet Goat" seven minutes, thus effectively ending the "9/11 hero" status of Bush, he's done enough.

7. Agreed! And there was all the info about
the connections between * family and SA royalty.

How did it begin...something like "How did this happen?" And began with the stolen 2000 election.

People stood and cheered at its debut at the film festival. Crowds cheered here.

Michael Moore ain't the evil one.

9. Maybe we need house parties to watch it again.
I think it has run on Sundance, but I'm not sure.

13. I just saw that on M. Moore's web site too. His response to
* et al was F911 playing on the various Showtime channels.

I don't get Showtime either.
